Sr. Mary Mercy Lee is a Franciscan Sister of the Eucharist whose Motherhouse is in Meriden, Connecticut.
The mission of the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist is to restore a sense of the sacred, especially the sacredness of human life, in a world that knows the rupture between the sacred and the secular.
The Community was founded with the vision and Spirit-directed leadership of Mother Rosemae Pender and Mother Shaun Vergauwen.
The Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist are missioned in many dioceses in the United States, Canada, Italy and the Holy Land.
Sr. Mary Mercy is currently missioned to the Center in Rome to serve the Church.
Before entering her Community Sr. Mary Mercy received her undergraduate degree from Christendom College in Philosophy with a minor in Theology and her master’s in Dogmatic Theology from Holy Apostles College.
She has worked for many Catholic publications including the National Catholic Register, Catholic Digest. and CatholicMatch.com.
During her years of formation, Sr. Mary Mercy was missioned as a high school Scripture teacher for seven years.
She has a very close family, is the favorite youngest daughter, and aunt to 33 nieces and nephews.
