Msgr. Stephen Rossetti

Headshot of Msgr. Stephen Rossetti, author, priest, and professor

I am a priest of the Diocese of Syracuse, NY. Currently, I am a research associate professor at the Catholic University of America. I graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1973 and spent six years in the Air Force as an intelligence officer. A licensed psychologist, I have a Ph.D. in psychology from Boston College and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Catholic University. After ordination, I served in two parishes before becoming Director of Education of the House of Affirmation and then the President/CEO of Saint Luke Institute, a residential treatment program for priests and religious in Silver Spring, Maryland.

My most recent book is When the Lion Roars, published by Spirit Daily and Diary of an American Exorcist. Learn more here. I am the author of many articles and books including I Am Awake: Discovering Prayer, Fire on the Earth: Daily Living in the Kingdom of God, and The Priestly Blessing: Rediscovering the Gift.

I received a Proclaim Award in 1994 from the U.S. Bishops’ Conference, a Lifetime Service Award from Theological College, and an honorary doctorate from St. Mary’s Seminary and University in Baltimore MD.

I am particularly thankful for the many people who read Living Faith and go out of their way to tell me how much these little reflections have meant to them. The opportunity to write them is a gift and a joy for me!
