Maureen Kavanaugh is a mother and grandmother, a retired K-8 parochial school teacher and the author of three books focusing on St. Louis, Missouri history: The Campbell Family of St. Louis: Their Public Triumphs and Personal Tragedies (Campbell House Museum), Hidden History of Downtown St. Louis (History Press) and the revised 2016 edition of St. Louis Then and Now (Pavilion Books of London). She is also tour guide and sole proprietor of St. Louis Walking Tours.
