Catherine A. Welch is an award-winning children’s book author with 23 books to her credit. She is a former instructor for the Institute of Children’s Literature and has given writing workshops to children and teachers. In her article, “Devotionals in the Classroom: A Way to Link Scripture with Creative Writing” (Today’s Catholic Teacher, April/May 2014), she shares her enthusiasm for writing devotions, a joyful challenge! A former catechist, she hopes her Living Faith Kids devotions touch readers’ hearts and encourage them to pray. She also contributes devotions to Hope-Full Living, inspiring older adults to keep living in hope. She and her husband are blessed with two grown sons and their wives, and three granddaughters.
