'Ever-flowing Grace'

The Dedication of the Lateran Basilica

Wherever the river flows, every sort of living creature that can multiply shall live...

- Ezekiel 47:9

The words of Ezekiel present an image of flowing water that begins in the temple and flows out across the land and into the sea. The temple waters renew the parched lands and even the mighty sea, providing new life, abundant food and healing. Similarly, we can envision God's grace flowing from the sanctuary of our eucharistic celebrations as we "go forth to love and serve" in our daily lives. By letting God's grace flow through us, we bring the love of God and new life into the world.

God of ever-flowing grace, renew my faith each day. Speak your word within my heart that I may hear you call my name and follow where you lead me.

God Bless you Dear Confused ~
It hurts. It's a raw emotion that causes your stomach to flip. Please reread your LF Family's words of comfort to you...they each offer peace, hope and strength.

This is the beginning of a journey you never imagined you'd ever be on, but here you are. Stay close to God, ask for prayers...you have all of ours!

I feel the only real decision you have, is whether to forgive or not. In choosing forgiveness, you must trust and believe...and digest it.

I remember saying to the love of my life many years ago ~
"God died for your sins too".

I have you tucked in my Rosary today, right along side Salina's Dad and ALL of our LF Family's praises & petitions.

Thank you Deborah for the comforting devotion....one that I pray will comfort all of this LF family.

Amen to your prayer.

Amen. Thank you Holy Father for this beautiful day and for today's Gospel. Thank you Lord for my faith, my life and for my family. Thank you Holy Father most of all for your great sacrifice and for the opportunity of forgiveness and reconciliation. Please Lord have mercy. Lord Jesus Chris, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me, a sinner. Praise to you Lord Jesus Chris, King of Endless Glory. Amen.
Please Lord watch over my daughter and son-in-law as they are traveling today. Please help them reach their destination safely.

Dear Confused,
I know the pain that comes from being betrayed by someone you love. I won't go into details because they don't matter. But, I was at the lowest point in my life when I found out and I just cried out to God and told Him I just didn't know what to do - stay in the marriage or not. Then in my darkness a word came to me- STEADFAST. He told me to remain steadfast in my faith, in my prayers, in my trust in HIM. I wasn't told what to do other than that. That was several years ago. My spouse and I just had our 48th anniversary. It has taken more faith, more forgiveness and more love than I ever imagined I could have. But Jesus is STEADFAST, forgiving and loving and He asks me to do the same. I will remember you and your spouse in my prayers. God bless you both.

This picture God gave to Ezekiel is similar to what God gave to John in Revelation 22:1-2, "Then the angel showed me (John) the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations."

What does it look like to me in my everyday life on earth? Listen to the conversation between Jesus and the Samaritan woman in John 4:7-15
* Jesus, "Will you give Me a drink?"
* Woman, "You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can You ask me for a drink?"
* Jesus, "If you knew the gift of God and Who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked Him and He would have given you living water."
* Woman, "You have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can You get this living water?"
* Jesus, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life."
* Woman, "Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water."

You know what happened to this Samaritan woman? She brought the whole town to the faith!!!

There it is, the only water I need is from Jesus and no where else, not better circumstances, not better husband or wife, not better job and pay, not bigger house and car, not even healing and no pain...but Jesus and Jesus alone because all else I still thirst again!!!

Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so...my sisters and I were singing it in the ICU and that attracted the patients and family alike to sing along with us. We cannot give them healing or comfort, but Jesus can :-) And I for one is grateful that Jesus left the nighty nine and came looking for me :-)Love You, Jesus!

Dear Confused, this is one of the most unthinkable situations that is a real thing in this world because it is a sinful world.

You are as you know above all of her actions and there is truly no one else who can comfort you like Jesus right now.

All of your Living Faith Family is there today offering their prayers for you because this is what family does, support one of its own. Again it will not take away the pain and suffering but know he does hear our prayers because he gathers with us everyday.

As far as what she is feeling and how were your faith worlds that far apart as you have noted to all of us here today, know that sin, temptation is very real and sometimes means different things to different people.

Dear Confused, we are praying for you, please feel free to reach out to us everyday to help with your pain. We are all family. Family cares, family sticks together, family encourages and Jesus is near.

Every day I pray for similar guidance, mindfulness and faith. My wife cheated on me 2 weeks ago and ever since my life has been a roller coaster of emotions. Everyone I think about what my night was that night vs hers I’m saddened and afraid for our future.
How could we be so far apart. Lord help me to feel your work in my life. I know you’re with me as I go through this; i pray that I feel it, and believe that Your will, be done always.

I am so sorry, Confused :-( Betrayal is painful, hurtful and unbelievable! You know what, Jesus understands! He has been there and done that!!!

Luke 22:47b-48, "He (Judas) approached Jesus to kiss him, 48 but Jesus asked him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?”

No one can give you the safety, the assurance, the confidence and the unconditional love like Jesus! However, it doesn't minimize the pain and the confusion you are going through :-(

I do not know what your future looks like with your wife, but I know Who does!!! He is loving towards all sinners, like you and me and your wife! That is why he came as a Babe, lived thirty-three years without sins to endure all pains, died a terrible death so you and I and your wife can live forever with Him :-)

Not knowing is hard! May God heal you through your pain, your doubt, your uncertainty and your love for Him and your wife, Amen! Hope this song helps...

Confused, I am so sorry for your betrayal. It is a terrible thing when the people we love most betray our trust. And I cannot imagine how painful this is for you. But what I DO know is that you have strength in God, and He is right beside you. As in Psalm 23, "Beside restful waters He leads me."

God works in mysterious ways, no doubt. Your strength in Christ will help you get through this situation. Continue to pray! My cousin and his wife went through the same thing, about ten years ago. He stayed with her and they have the strongest marriage ever! Sometimes God gives us a jolt to restart. That is the beauty of God's love. And He gives us endless chances to be with Him. Fight for your marriage. Give her a chance to rebuild with you - on a firm foundation! Peace and love be with you!

Please know that you are not alone. What you are going through today and in the near future will be an inspiration to others later on! Your history is His story...

He is your strength and your salvation! What is impossible with men, it is definitely possible with God :-)
