The invitation came out of the blue to attend a naturalization ceremony. I jumped at the chance and marked it on my calendar. I knew little about requirements for becoming a U.S. citizen besides the need to pass a civics test. It seemed only right I should give the test a try. Let’s just say for a native of this country, I should have aced it.
On the day of the ceremony, everyone arrived early anticipating the judge’s appearance. The silence was profound. People dressed in their best were clutching U.S. flags as they waited. I wondered about the challenges they faced reaching this milestone in their lives.
The judge announced there were ninety-nine candidates from thirty-seven countries gathered there. And as they stood to take their oath of citizenship, I whispered a prayer of thanks and hope for our “one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

I remember 40 years ago, I sworn in as a citizen of United States in a federal courthouse in Philadelphia with other legal immigrants who took the time to learn the civics and the Constitution of the United States passing the test ❤️ I didn’t know this One True God until 15 years later ✝️ My God is patient and merciful bringing me life here to this one nation under God and gifting me with eternal life through His Son Jesus, my Savior and my Lord ❤️

Amen. :)

I pray every day for our country, our President and all those who have pledged to uphold the Constitution of this great nation. And I thank God that I was born into a nation that defends our freedoms, especially the freedom to live out our religious beliefs. Sadly there are many people in other countries even today who are imprisoned and killed for their faith. Lord God I pray that America will never waiver in its defense of religious liberty and that one day all people will enjoy the same right. Protect and defend their God given freedoms Lord.

AMEN!

I had a friend that did that to this day he is a great American God be with them all this day Amen Amen Amen

******* One nation? How? One nation under God? How? Only under the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit in 1 Corinthians 2:10, “God has shown these things to us through His Spirit. The Spirit understands all things. He understands even the deep things of God!” *** Why only the Holy Spirit in 1 Corinthians 2:11, “ Who can know the thoughts of another person? Only a person’s own spirit can know them. In the same way, only the Spirit of God knows God’s thoughts!” *** Which spirit do I have in 1 Corinthians 2:12, “What we have received is...

Greetings Living Faith Ohana (Family), I remember when my mom became a US citizen in Honolulu, Hawaii. It was a special day for her. I don't remember the score she received. My mom did not know how many there were with her. This nation is a nation under God's Spirit, it is important to "Love mercy, do justice and walk humbly with God" (Micah 6:8). Do what is right according to the Scriptures. When human beings follow the Spirit, the world we live in would be a better place. May It Be So, blessings upon Gail's words today, may we...
