On the Feast of the Assumption of Mary, we celebrate the belief that by God’s power, Mary was assumed into heaven, body and soul. She is the sinless Mother of God, who gazed upon the face of the Christ Child, found him with anxiety at the Temple, raised him during those quiet, unrecorded years, encouraged him to provide the wine at Cana, met him on the Way of the Cross, stood by him at the crucifixion and now takes her place prepared by God.
What a welcome into heaven it must have been! I picture a realm of angel choirs, Jesus, St. Joseph, her parents and friends welcoming her and crowning her as Queen. As our Mother, she naturally prepares a place for her children too. She notices us, intercedes for us and prays for us until the day when she too can welcome us with open arms to our eternal home.

Amen.

Holy Mary please pray for all of us sinners

Our mother queen of heaven and earth thank you for saying yes Amen Amen Amen

Amen!

Amen!

*** A woman was praising Jesus’ mother in Luke 11:27, “ As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out. She shouted, “Blessed is the mother who gave You birth and nursed You.” *** Yet, Jesus pointed her to focus on someone completely different than what she talking about in Luke 11:28, “He replied, “Instead, blessed are those who hear God’s Word and obey it!” *** Why do you think Jesus tried to get this woman to focus on hearing God’s Word instead of His mother?!?!?! ******* Matthew 12:47-49, Mark 3:32-34 and Luke 8:20-21

A mother’s love is eternal, the mother ‘art obeyed the word of God. A mother’s love is filled with notes in lunch boxes, in bathing her infant, providing and serving her loved ones and others. May we follow the Mother of Jesus whose love is continued to be shared in us and through us.
