I was starting to make a salad. I grabbed some lettuce out of the fridge. Then I froze. My eyes were glued to that lettuce as if I’d never seen anything like it before. It felt odd, but out of what seemed like nowhere, I became aware of the many working hands that had brought “my” head of lettuce to market. That never entered my mind when I paid for it. What was going on? The earth didn’t move just because I saw my produce in a different light. But something shifted in me.
Maybe you’re thinking…all that from a head of lettuce? My answer is why not? Dare I say it was a moment of divine inspiration? As awkward as it feels to name that, I will. God is everywhere. God is as close as the air we breathe.
With eyes open wide, where will you discover God’s divine inspiration breaking into the gift of this day?

Amen!

What will my life and my outlook be??? If I believe: there is one true God, Hod sent His Son to die for my sins, God is with me always, God is in control, God knows what I am facing, God knows I am sad, God knows I am sick, God is good, God is faithful, God is just, etc!!!!!!! *** I will not be afraid of anything or anyone in Psalm 56:3-4, “When I’m afraid, I put my trust in You. I trust in God. I praise His Word. I trust in God. I am not afraid. What can...

I love this prayer for us in today’s reading Jude 20-25, “But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith. Let the Holy Spirit guide and help you when you pray. And by doing these things, remain in God’s love as you wait. You are waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you eternal life. Show mercy to those who doubt. Save others by pulling them out of the fire. To others, show mercy mixed with fear of sin. Hate even the clothes that are stained by the sins of those who wear...

Gail ah thank you for the reminder of simplicity of the true love of God and the world we live in. I so needed that today. Patrick your words help me to remember past events in which I have seen God working in my life thank you. I will try to use those memories to get me through these coming days. Scott have a great vacation from your virtual Ohana. Blessings on your nephews graduation. Blessings to all the LFF, especially those with extra needs these days.

These AHA moments that wi have when I realize God’s close in doing simple tasks. From making salads, to those who harvest the wheat to make the body of Christ, the grapes that are made into the blood of Christ, these are created by God. I have been in Hawaii on vacation, there was a double rainbow over my brother’s house. We just returned from the spot where my brother’s wife’s ashes were scattered out by a sacred point. My nephew graduates on the 30th of May and my family is here to celebrate the day with my brother’s family....
