St. Isidore
Heart Rejoicing, Joy Enduring
But I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.
John 16:22

We sometimes run the risk of thinking that our era is the pinnacle of humanity’s fallenness. This spiritually-jaundiced worldview can creep in when we spend too much time wringing our hands about everything, from politics to social media to the economy and so on. But those who hope in the resurrection should not lose heart, recalling that we are not meant for this life since our true joy is rooted in the Risen Lord.

St. Isidore, whom we celebrate today, deeply hoped and ardently rejoiced in the Lord. He spent his entire life meditating prayerfully on the things of God as he worked dutifully as a farmer in central Spain. Like St. Isidore the Farmer, may we rejoice in the beautiful implications of Christ’s resurrection as we continue in the joyous Easter Season.

Lord God, we thank you for filling us with Christian joy, not only at Easter but throughout our entire lives. We ask this in Jesus’ name.

That’s because her time to give birth has come. But when her baby is born, she forgets the pain. She forgets because she is so happy that a baby has been born into the world!” *** The spiritual...

Justin thank you for those words of encouragement. It's so very hard to keep the hope when times are tough. May we all have the faith it takes to keep hope and know that God is with us each and everyday. Blessings to all the LFF, especially those with extra needs these days, CIndy and others. Holy Spirit fill the hearts of all to guide us to a heavenly earth.
