Our Lady of Fatima
Living in the Spirit of Truth
…the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth.
John 16:13

Do you feel overwhelmed by the sheer volume of words and images that make up our digital age? On the fast-paced information superhighway, we may not always be sure of the truth of what we see, hear and read. In the torrent of news and information at our fingertips, we must seek out what is real and true. Jesus promises his disciples—and us—the Spirit of truth who will guide us to all truth.

Do we seek this promised gift of the Spirit of truth? The Word of God is living and active. To live in the Spirit of truth is to live in the truth of God’s Word that guides our living faith.

The Spirit of truth reveals how my life story is part of the divine story of God’s loving plan revealed in Jesus. This is the invitation of Christian discipleship.

How will I respond today?

Ken, praying for you as you decided not to be part of a clinical trial that God’s peace and presence be with you in Ecclesiastes 3:1, “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven!” *** I was in a type II diabetes clinical, Look AHEAD (Action for Health in Diabetes) with 5.145 participants around the country, for 10 years. *** Are you religious like the Athenians? Do you know Who you are worshipping/praying to? Do you follow whatever everyone else is worshipping/praying to? Acts 17:22-23, “Then Paul stood up in the meeting of the Areopagus. He said, “People of Athens! I see that you are very religious in every way. As I walked around, I looked carefully at the things you worship. I even found an altar with, ‘To an Unknown God’ written on it. So you don’t know what you are worshiping. Now I am going to tell you about this ‘unknown god.’” *** Does the One Who you...

Jem thank you for those words of reflection. The world today is so very overwhelming with all the input. May Gods love and plan shine through all that to reveal to us all his love and the way of faith. We so need it! Blessings to all the LFF, especially those with extra need these days. Ken hope you're comfortable with your decision to not do the trial. Blessings. Holy Spirit fill the hearts of all to guide us through all the additional temptations in our lives and lead us to a more heavenly earth.
