Fifth Week of Easter
Seek His Will
The Apostles and presbyters, in agreement with the whole Church…
Acts 15:22

Tessa Afshar’s novel Pearl in the Sand is a fictional account about Rahab, with Joshua leading the Israelites. Afshar shows us how Joshua prays before each battle to discern God’s will. As he follows that plan with faith and obedience, it inspires the Israelites to unite with one objective, one strategy and one heart to stay the course, even when the tactic seems ludicrous: walk circles around Jericho, blasting trumpets, until the walls come tumbling down.

In Acts, the Holy Spirit reveals to the Apostles and presbyters what the demands should be on the believers in Antioch. Twice it says they are united in their objective, plan and heart. It’s their faith and obedience to God’s will that unifies them.

What should we do when faced with division? Pray to God, and seek his will. Following it with faith and obedience always leads to unity.

God of Peace, unite us through faith and obedience to your will.

- Claire McGarry

I thought I share my cataract journey with y’all in case someone is interested in getting the Light Adjustable Lens! *** Wear very comfortable clothes. I went in the day before to pay my co-pay and have them make copies of my insurance card, my picture ID, my POA and Livibg Will. *** On the day of surgery, they have me signed a bunch of CYAs. They put a wristband on my wrist at the front desk to identify me. *** Inside the nurse ask a lot questions on my health and medications...so write everything down of your health condition...

I have been dealing with my husband’s alcoholism for over 40 years and I am at the point where I don’t want to deal with it anymore, the kids are grown and gone and I’m try to decide if I want to leave. I truly believe in the sanctity of marriage and I’m praying to God for which path I will take or if my husband will get help

I understand 100%. I am in the same boat, but I’ve only been married for 13 years. It’s a daily struggle. I go to God in prayer daily for grace and wisdom. I’m praying for God to reveal himself to me in the answer. Until I know in my heart which way God is leading me I will still be here. I pray daily for healing in our household and that I give Grayson mercy.

Yes, praise God that I can see and watch TV which means my healing has began and there is no inflammation or issues ❤️✝️❤️ But adjusting the lens by UV light is required in future sessions (getting the right prescriptions on the lens for my eyes using UV light) so I can see clearly hopefully both long and short distances and I don’t need any glasses ✝️ It’s like I have to be in God’s Word daily (the UV light adjustments) to be able to see Jesus clearly (no need for glasses as an intermediary) and when good, bad or...
