Christ came to share our life so we could one day share his. Jesus came to redeem us, indeed, so we might experience the blessed life that he and the Father share. Their plan includes the work of the Church on earth, through which graces flow. Great minds throughout the ages have believed this, too, and sought to explain our sharing in the divine life of God.
St. Athanasius, a feisty fourth-century bishop and later a Doctor of the Church, spent his whole ministry in and out of exile, defending the Incarnation. He preached passionately about Jesus and what a dramatic new life in him means for us: “For the Son of God became man so that we might become God” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, para. 460). We are called to this astounding transformation through God’s grace.
What Jesus is by nature, we can become by grace. God invites us to become saints—the persons we were born to be.

To all friends in the LFF, Vicki, Pam, Cheryl, Stormi, and all who are cherished and supported in this community and for the broader community of this big world, we offer prayers of comfort, strength and peace of heart. As we enter the month of Our Blessed Mother, we ask for her protection and intercession in our lives through Her Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Amen. :)

Dearhearts…as many of us have asked for this Family’s prayers, then you know how each response lifts my heart and makes me look up and thank God for being part of this Family.❣️ Update on Sis - she shattered her femur and her pain is quite severe. Yesterday surgery really wasn’t an option but this morning that’s where she is. The Doctor told her sons that trying to live with the pain without surgery would be excruciating and an ongoing struggle. She has a DNR and should God’s plan be to provide her wings at that time, then so be...

Prayers for Liz, praises and thanks be to God for Pat’s word today. I have been out of my routine in my life’s journey. I have struggled in recent weeks. In the struggle I have found God strengthening me to be a better person, help those who are less fortunate than I am, be with the sick and dying friends I have made through the years. As I understand God, God wants us to live the best life possible through grace and strength always. Become strong to love, be compassionate and take care because I care.

Stormi & Pam, I used to be so regimented that missing my prayer time was a day to me lost in life. Now saying “used to be” is laughable because I fight a regimented life every day and have trouble dealing with unplanned or non routine. Boy did Our Lord work on busting me out of that though with the story for me He unfolds every day! I don’t feel the anxiety, frustration or failure I used to though as I have somehow (grace I’m sure and a lot of nagging in the name of Jesus!) to let it go...

Good morning Pam, my birthday sister! Sending prayers of comfort and healing for Liz today and in the coming days. God be with her, she sounds like a little mover and shaker!! Love to her and the whole family!

Yes by the power of the Holy Spirit, I will be more and more like Jesus. BUT I might never become God!!! ******* This is how God referred to the fallen angels and what they said to themselves in Isaiah 14:12bc, 14b, “But now you have fallen from heaven! You once brought down nations. But now you have been thrown down to the earth… I’ll make myself like the Most High God.’ *** We don't "become God" through our own will; we are transformed into His image through His Spirit! Genesis 1:27 and Romans 12:2! *** The fallen angels wanted...

Thank you Pat for your words. They are very thought provoking. I fear I may never be a saint but will do my best to be all God wants me to be. Blessings to all the LFF, especially those with extra needs these days. Holy Spirit fill the hearts of all to guide us to a more heavenly earth.
