Lenten Weekday
God’s Promise
I will make with them a covenant of peace.
Ezekiel 37:26

Your Lenten pilgrimage has been fruitful and inspiring, and you can’t wait for Holy Week to start tomorrow. Or maybe, you started strong, but life got in the way of the Lenten practices you meant to do. Or perhaps you are full of regret that you never really got into Lent this year. Whatever the case, remember: Lent is not over yet! Wherever I find myself in the Lenten journey, this holiest of weeks, beginning tomorrow, offers me an opportunity for a mini-Lent, a sort of do-over, to prepare for and wholeheartedly celebrate Christ’s resurrection.

But how do I begin? I propose to start by contemplating the Lord’s promise, “my dwelling shall be with them”—right here, where and how I am, God is with me. “I will be their God, and they shall be my people” (v. 27). This is God’s covenant with his people, with me! We belong to each other.

The moment is now: Reconnect with God, and immerse yourself in Holy Week.

To prepare my heart to celebrate the resurrection of my Lord, Jesus Christ! *** Why 40 days for Lent? To prepare my life for the service of the Lord as Jesus did in the desert for 40 days before He started His public ministry journey to the cross! *** Should the practice of Lent be limited to the assigned 40 days? Not for me as Jesus is resurrected, alive and seated at the right hand side of the...

Maria thank you for that reflection. As distraught as I am right now, my prayers are many but the connection seems to be weak. God please sooth my soul to better listen to your words. Blessings to all the LFF, especially those with extra needs these days. Holy Spirit fill the hearts of all to guide us to a heavenly earth. Protect the innocent from the evil through all the world.

Yesterday I attended a celebration of life mass for a dear friend. The Father who shared words of connection. Everyone is connected to the person who died, we connect as human beings, we are connected because of the life and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ whose name is Emmanuel, “God with us.” As I enter Holy Week, I know that we are connected in our baptism promise that I am connected with you in the life, death and resurrection of the one who promises who says, “Blessed are those who thirst for justice and are hungry for righteousness. Blessed...
