At the Annunciation, Mary wondered, as a virgin, how she could possibly conceive a child. The angel told her that it would be the work of the Holy Spirit. When the Spirit came upon her, she conceived the “Son of the Most High” (v. 32).
Mary truly and fully conceived Jesus in her womb; we are to conceive him spiritually. As she was filled with the Holy Spirit, we, too, are called to receive the Spirit and conceive Jesus in our innermost being.
We ought to repeat daily Mary’s yes and welcome the Spirit. We ought to open our hearts and pray that Jesus will come to dwell in us.

AMEN!

Amen! May the Holy Spirit come upon me so that I may welcome Jesus and be transformed into his living presence.

Msgr. Stephen wonderful reminder to answer "yes" to the Holy Spirit everyday. Though my road right now is scary, I will continue to pray for guidance. Blessings to all the LFF, especially those with extra needs these days. May the Holy Spirit fill the hearts of all and lead us to a heavenly earth.

Amen. :)

To be baptized in the Holy Sprit is to be fully immersed in the love, mercy, wisdom and power of Jesus as he promised we would be when he left this world. Every day I pray to be filled with the spirit of Jesus, to be his hands, his heart, and his presence to all I come in contact with. Baptism by water to be cleansed of all sin is a one time thing; being baptized by the Holy Sprit is ongoing every day of my life. “Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and enkindle in them...

*** Do you know you and I are also the ‘favor one’ too as Mary was in Luke 1:28, “And coming to her (Mary), he (Angel Gabriel) said, “Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you.” *** How do that come about? The Holy Spirit will be with you and I as Mary did in Luke 1:35a, “The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come to you!”” *** When do that happen? It happened when God the Son Jesus came in John 1:1, 14, “In the beginning, the Word was already there. The Word was with God, and the Word...

How am I/am I transformed by the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit changes my actions, gives me strength to change the things I can, to accept the things I am not able to change for the wisdom to know the difference. The Holy Spirit allows me to forgive myself and others. The Holy Spirit gives me wisdom to give thanks in all circumstances, that gives me joy in knowing the Spirit loves me unconditionally. Therefore, the Holy Spirit allows me to share forgiveness, be thankful, know the joy of the kingdom and share love always in words and actions.

In John 16:7 Jesus states that his departure is necessary for the Advocate (Holy Spirit) to come to his disciples. This Helper dwells within all believers today, a permanent internal divine presence. —- I love outcome of Mary’s yes in the Annunciation. It’s only in recent years I realised I too have the choice to say yes to the Holy Spirit. —- Do I really believe that? Yes I do. “Be it done unto me according to your word”. —- Daily prayer: O let us hear thee calling in voices clear and still. Above the storms of passion, the murmurs...

*** The baptism of the Holy Spirit (indwelling of the Holy Spirit) Vs the filling of the Holy Spirit (the work of the Holy Spirit) *** Baptism in the Holy Spirit occurs once at Salvation, placing a believer into the Body of Christ in 1 Corinthians 12:13, “We were all baptized by one Holy Spirit. And so we are formed into one body. It didn’t matter whether we were Jews or Gentiles, slaves or free people. We were all given the same Spirit to drink!” *** The filling of the Holy Spirit is a continuous, repeated surrendering to the Spirit's...
