God gifted me with a squinty-eyed, quick, genuine smile. Despite countless difficulties, I’d always clung to the security of his love and provision. Then years ago, several tragic events converged. They turned my world and family upside down. I lost my smile. Heartbroken—a mere shell of myself—I grieved half-a-decade of extended-family estrangement. But daily, I carried my hurt and loved ones to Mass, praying Jesus’ good and truth over each of them.
Rather than continuing to grieve my loss, Jesus challenged me to rekindle joy—in him! He restored my smile! Through imperfect conditions, our gracious God is gradually restoring relationships that Satan stole away. Today’s passages from Isaiah and Psalms call us, despite trials, to see our lives and world anew. He, who created Jerusalem to be a joy and its people a delight, wants to turn our mourning into dancing. Now, that’s worth smiling about!

My prayer for each of you today in Romans 15:13, “May the God Who gives hope fill you with great joy. May you have perfect peace as you trust in Him. May the power of the Holy Spirit fill you with hope!” Amen ❤️✝️❤️

Smiles are contagious Kathleen, so are yawns ????That is love. It is difficult to smile through hardships, worry, frustrations, anger, estrangements and at the same time the love of God sustains us and is with us. The smile is in the halfmoon, God's love is in the new moon or when there is a little sliver. Certainly, God's smiles on the earth when a rainbow appears, even though the smile seems to be upside down. God smiles when mourning turns to dancing and turns our frowns upside down to smile with unspeakable joy.

Kathleen…smiles are truly amazing, and I have no doubt that yours is rooted in your heart! Smiles kick in our endorphins and lift our spirits and that feeling always makes my heart smile out loud! Thank you for sharing your heart with us!❣️

Peace be with you and may your smiles be contagious. Amen!

When I look over the past few years, especially since I retired. I realize just how much God has bless me and I can't help but smile and than Him. When I see my smiles returned to me by others, I smile even more and am blessed all the more. I have had my down times, but have come to know that, if I place my trust in him, He will bless me in more ways than I can imagine. It will be on His time, not mine, but in ways much greater than I could ever imagine. God is...
