Without hesitation, Jesus healed Simon Peter’s mother-in-law. As she regained her strength, she began to serve Jesus and his disciples. At sunset, Jesus helped many others who needed healing. The nature of service is cyclical. Once healed or replenished, newfound vigor should be channeled into serving and healing others. Acts of compassion can multiply when we serve others with love.
Today, we are challenged by both the Gospel and the life of St. Gregory the Great to consider the ripple effect of our actions and inspire others to contribute to the well-being of others. As followers of Christ, we are sent for a purpose—to help heal emotional, physical and spiritual wounds—to respond to the needs of others, to embody Christ’s healing presence in our communities.
How do you embrace your call to heal and serve with authenticity and love?

Vivian thank you for the encouragement. I needed that. Blessings to all the LFF, especially those with extra needs these days. May the Holy Spirit fill the hearts of all and lead the world to a kinder society.

AMEN!
