In this part of Holy Week, Jesus and his Apostles are in Jerusalem now. Jesus is approaching his final hours on his saving mission. The beloved community that offers abundant healing and compassion is now in a place of being put to the test.
We are part of this story: We also are beloved, belonging to God and to one another. We are made to bring mercy to situations of oppression, to build unity where there is division, to glorify God with our generosity and love. Only with God’s strength can we play our part. We may even lay down our lives.
"We must pray without tiring, for the salvation of mankind does not depend upon material success, but on Jesus alone." St. Frances Xavier Cabrini
"Give me, O Lord, a steadfast heart which no unworthy thought can drag downwards; an unconquered heart which no tribulation can wear out; an upright heart which no unworthy purpose may tempt aside. Bestow upon me also, O Lord my God, understanding to know you, diligence to seek you, wisdom to find you, and a faithfulness that may finally embrace you; through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Dear Living Faith Family. Please pray for me as I just been diagnosed with cancer, and am awaiting a treatment plan from my Oncologist. Wishing everyone a Blessed Holy Week. God Bless us Everyone!
May God bless you Morris as you navigate your new journey forward. Please know that the love and support of the LFF will always be there for you.

Sr. Julia thank you for your words. As I read them I realize how many times I have called for God to help me make decisions I struggled with in the past week. I always feel so weak yet can see where he helped me and which moment he helped me and not always the answer I wanted eh.!? lol :{ :} Welcome Morris, may your life begin now and the hands of God guide you through each and everyday! Sylvia and Felipe we pray for all your needs and healing. Blessings to all the LFF especially with with extra needs these days. May the Holy Spirit filled the hearts of our president and all the work with and for him to guide the country in God and goodness. May we all go out and spread the love of God through all the world.
Amen. :)
Thank you Sr. Julia for reminding me that “only by God’s strength” can we do our part as we walk the road of life that we are called to live. I pray especially today for Morris and Sylvia that the words of today’s Psalm 71 will speak to their hearts of God’s gifts of hope, strength and faithfulness in time of trouble or temptation. Oh Lord, our rock and our refuge, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
Thank you, Sister Julia. Praying for our leaders that they may show the mercy of Christ to those who are in need of mercy and compassion. Dear Lord Jesus, I pray that all families who are separated may be brought together by Your unconditional Love and Mercy. Amen
*** Isaiah lived and was written 700 years before the birth of Jesus! It is referred to as the Gospel (Good News) of the Old Testament! *** Clearly the (sufferring) Servant mentioned in Isaiah 49 is the prophecy of Jesus Christ! Isaiah 49:6, "He says, “You will do more than restore the people of Israel to Me. I will make You a light to the Gentiles, and You will bring My Salvation to the ends of the earth.” *** If I claim to be a Christian (little christ), then others will see the Christ in me! So what Isaiah 49:1-6 say about Jesus will also apply to me! ******* (1) God chose me and knew my name before I was born in Isaiah 49:1b, "Before I was born the Lord chose me to serve Him. Before I was born the Lord spoke my name!" (2) God gave me Jesus, the Word, and has protected me in His hand in Isaiah 49:2a, "He made my words like a sharp sword. He hid me in the palm of His hand!" (3) God sends me out and cares and protects me in Isiaah 49:2b, "He made me into a sharpened arrow. He took good care of me and kept me safe!" (4) God will show His glory thorugh me in Isaiah 49:3, "He said to me, “You are My true servant Israel. I will show My glory through you!” (5) My reality serving the Lord looks like this in Isaiah 49:4, "But I said, “In spite of my hard work, I feel as if I haven’t accomplished anything. I’ve used up all my strength. It seems as if everything I’ve done is worthless. But the Lord will give me what I should receive. My God will reward me!" (6) My purpose is His plan fulfilled by His strength in Isaiah 49:5, "The Lord formed me in my mother’s body to be His servant. He wanted me to bring the family of Jacob back to Him. He wanted me to gather the people of Israel to Himself. The Lord will honor me. My God will give me strength!" (7) I reflect what I received, "The Lord is my Light and my Salvation!" in Isaiah 49:6c, "I will make you as a light for the nations, that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth!”
Amen!
Dear sweet Jesus please be my strength at this time. I need for you to help me make the right decision for my health. Forever grateful, thank you!
Amen.

A 40-day prayer journal specifically for my daughter, Katie, the self proclaim agnostic to come back and walk with Jesus, her Savior and soon to be Lord ✝️ *** Day Thirty seven - What a day, Lord! My heart yearns for You! Thank You for helping me to hold my tongue! Draw my focus back to pray for Katie and not be distracted by all the troubles in front of my face! I have no idea how others deal with life in the world without knowing You and Who You are!!! *** I pray for Katie in Psalm 71, 2, 19, 23, “You do what is right, so save me (Katie) and help me. Pay attention to me and save me. God, your saving acts reach to the skies. You have done great things.God, Who is like You? My lips will shout with joy when I sing praise to You. You have saved me!” *** Friday is coming…reminds me of Your brokenness that makes me whole! Will You heal Katie’s brokenness unseen so she yearns for You! It is difficult to pray for Katie’s brokenness so she will turn to You for Your healing, “Father, use what You must to save Katie from an eternity apart from You, no matter the cost!” ******* I pray for Katie as Jesus prayed for Peter in Luke 22:32, “But I have prayed for you, Simon. I have prayed that your faith will not fail. When you have turned back, help your brothers to be strong.” Thank You, Jesus, for Your willing obedience to Your Salvation plan for all sinful human beings in dying a horrific death on the cross :-( ✝️
