A Miracle Worker Rebuffed
Jesus answered them, “I have shown you many good works from my Father. For which of these are you trying to stone me?”
John 10:32

The Jews wanted to stone Jesus. Why were they so murder-minded and angry? They had accused Jesus of blasphemy—his saying he was the Son of God. Jesus replied that even if they would not believe what he had said, couldn’t they, at least, believe in the good deeds he had done? He had multiplied the loaves, calmed the violent storm and cured the blind. Jesus had worked many remarkable deeds that only God could have done. Yet, minds remained closed.

Our minds may sometimes be too closed, refusing to be enlightened. The words, works and wisdom of Jesus are directives and inspirations that open us up to God’s eternal truths. May our prayer be: “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Let’s pledge to be the change we wish to see in the world.

Catching up from yesterday: Sid, prayers will be said for Margaret and you as her caregiver for the rest of Lent.Bill S, prayers for Michael—may the Lord work through him even as He performs miracles that will amaze the health professionals. Absorb his pain, Lord, so that he gets physical rest so he can begin to heal before rehabilitation. Comfort him while he is dependent on others. Allow him to see what God’s plan is in all of this. And give him the mental, emotional and spiritual strength to make whatever decisions are necessary in the coming future. But most of all your will in his life and a peace in his heart with it no matter your plans for him right now. Lord also comfort the whole family including Bill. Let them feel your presence in whatever they face with Michael’s decision. Amen

AD you are in my prayers. Those kind of decisions are difficult. Be assured which ever decision you make it will not be the wrong one because God will be with you in either, and He will no doubt be working through you to reach others either in your personal dealing with the situation or in the health care workers with which you come in contact. Either way I pray for your healing and strength so you may continue to be a proclaimer of the Word and an example of a Christian. If you chose surgery tell us when to pray and how you are progressing so we may petition on your behalf through that journey!

Here is what Jesus said about the ‘unbelievers’ in John 8:42-45, 47, “Jesus told them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, because I have come to you from God. I am not here on My own, but He sent Me. Why can’t you understand what I am saying? It’s because you can’t even hear Me! For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies. So when I tell the truth, you just naturally don’t believe me! Anyone who belongs to God listens gladly to the Words of God. But you don’t listen because you don’t belong to God!” *** You would be wrong if you believe all people are good and will go to heaven!!! Satan will never change, human will never change and the Good News is God never changes!!! *** As I study Revelation 20 this past week, the above is my conclusions! Satan and human after 1,000 years of Christ’s reign on earth, they will still deceive and be deceived! Revelation 20:7-8, “When the 1,000 years are over, Satan will be set free from his prison. He will go out to cause the nations to believe lies. He will gather them from the four corners of the earth. He will bring Gog and Magog together for battle. Their troops are as many as the grains of sand on the seashore!” *** Jesus will tie up Satan for 1,000 years in Revelation 20:1-2, “I saw an angel coming down out of heaven. He had the key to the Abyss. In his hand he held a heavy chain. He grabbed the dragon, that old serpent. The serpent is also called the devil, or Satan. The angel put him in chains for 1,000 years!” ******* Jesus will come to reign for 1,000 years to give humans one more chance in Revelation 20:6, “Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them. They will be priests of God and of Christ. They will rule with Him for 1,000 years!” *** Yet, Satan lies and humans believe his lies and God judges at the end in Revelation 20:10, “The devil had caused them to believe lies. He was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur. That is where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will all suffer day and night for ever and ever!” *** Is your name in the Book of Life? Revelation 20:15, “Anyone whose name was not written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire!” *** The proof is the Holy Spirit in you when you surrender yourself to Jesus in Ephesians 4:30, “Do not make God’s Holy Spirit mourn. The Holy Spirit is the proof that you belong to God. And the Spirit is the proof that God will set you completely free!” ******* That’s why without the Holy Spirit is the unpardonable sin in Matthew 12:32, “So here is what I tell you. Every kind of sin and every evil word spoken against God will be forgiven. But speaking evil things against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven!” Mark 3:28-29, “What I’m about to tell you is true. Everyone’s sins and evil words against God will be forgiven. But whoever speaks evil things against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven. Their guilt will last forever!”

April 11, 2025 at 07:22 AM

Amen.☮️

A 40-day prayer journal specifically for my daughter, Katie, the self proclaim agnostic to come back and walk with Jesus, her Savior and soon to be Lord ✝️ *** Day Thirty three - I speak the Name of Jesus in Jeremiah 30:9, “But if I say I’ll never mention the Lord or speak in His name, His Worship burns in my heart like a fire. It’s like a fire in my bones! I am worn out trying to hold it in! I can’t do it!” *** Let me speak of Your Name knowing it will not be well received! ‘How’ is totally depending on the prompting and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit ✝️ Don’t let me step in front of You! *** Thank You for prompting me to pray for Katie for 40 days ✝️ Love this quote, “Next time Satan reminds me of my past, I will remind him of his future!!!”
