When Jesus spoke, people listened and believed. There seem to be many reasons for this. He spoke simply and clearly, without need for big words or deep philosophical ideas. He spoke in parables, talking about the Kingdom of God while using examples that people understood in those times—farming, caring for sheep, paying their bills, caring for the poor and powerless around them.
Jesus spoke of the importance of love. He chose his words carefully.
It’s a good lesson for all of us to remember as we do the work of evangelization among our family, friends and coworkers. Are we trying to overwhelm them with the truths of our faith, however beautiful, before we even have a conversation with them about their lives? Do we speak in story and terms they can understand? Do we speak the truth with love? Let us begin our work there, just as Jesus did.
A 40-day prayer journal specifically for my daughter, Katie, the self proclaim agnostic to come back and walk with Jesus, her Savior and soon to be Lord ✝️ *** Day Thirty - One day, God will reveal the truth about every human being at the great white throne. Anyone who has not trusted in Christ for Salvation faces only God’s wrath and final judgment! *** When I believe that God will exercise wrath against sin, my love and gratitude for Christ and His sacrifice grows! Revelation 20:11, “I (John) saw a great white throne. And I saw God sitting on it. When the earth and sky saw His face, they ran away. There was no place for them!” *** When I don’t believe my sin deserves God’s wrath, I do not turn to Christ for Salvation: I will meet Him as judge! ******* Katie has declared her life for Jesus when she was a child, now she is not walking with You, Lord Jesus! Bring her back to Yourself, Lord Jesus! Your Word gives me comfort and confidence in You alone in John 6:39, “The One Who sent Me doesn’t want Me to lose anyone He has given Me. He wants Me to raise them up on the last day!” Amen ✝️
"We must sow the seed, not hoard it." St. Dominic. May we all sow the seed carefully!
Amen. :)
Steve thank you for those words. They ease a wee bit of my tension these days. Blessings to all the LFF. May God and all his family help anyone with extra needs these days. May we all spread the love of God through all the world everyday. I pray the Father, Son and Holy Spirit fill the hearts minds and souls of the world leaders to lead our world to a heavenly earth especially our President and all his cabinet.
AMEN!
Amen!
Well said, Steve. Thanks for the message.
My prayer "Lord Jesus, you came to set us free from sin, doubt, fear, and ignorance. Your word brings life, truth, and healing to mind, heart, soul, and body. Let your healing love free me from the blindness of sin and disbelief and from the destructive force of evil and wrongdoing. May I always find peace, joy, and strength in knowing your merciful love, truth, and goddness."
Reminds me of, “People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care!” by Theodore Roosevelt *** Jesus tells stories in Matthew 13:34-35, “Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd using stories. He did not say anything to them without telling a story. So the words spoken by the prophet came true. He had said, “I will open My mouth and tell stories. I will speak about things that were hidden since the world was made.” (Psalm 78:2)” *** Why did Jesus do that? Matthew 13:10-12, “The disciples came to Him. They asked, “Why do You use stories when You speak to the people?” He replied, “Because you have been given the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven. It has not been given to outsiders. Everyone who has this kind of knowledge will be given more knowledge. In fact, they will have very much. If anyone doesn’t have this kind of knowledge, even what little they have will be taken away from them,” *** When others know that I care, I can then share my stories of Jesus in my life! ******* I am not good at telling others about Jesus, so I can’t take credit for myself! But I can share God’s Word so God can take credit for it! Luke 8:11, “Now the parable is this: The seed is the Word of God,”
Amen

Thank you Steve for your comments and thoughts this morning. Words can hurt or help. Remind me of Saint Joseph who never spoke but was so influential in Mary and Jesus life. I am sharing a pray to him. Saint Joseph. O St Joseph who's protection is so great, so strong, so proud Before the Throne of god, I place in you all my interests and desires. Oh Saint Joseph do assist me by your powerful intercession and obtain for me from your Divine son all spiritual blessings to Jesus Christ, Our Lord; so that having engaged to you below your heavenly power, I may offer my Thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers. O St Joseph I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms. I dare not approach while he reposes near your heart. Press him in my name and kiss his fine Head for me, and ask him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath. St Joseph patron of departing Souls pray for me amen. Most Rev. George W.
