Lenten Weekday
Deeper Than the Words
Moses spoke to the people and said: “Now, Israel, hear the statues and decrees which I am teaching you to observe, that you may live…”
Deuteronomy 4:1

Hearing, learning, living. What Moses proposes to the Israelites sounds quite simple. Actually, our call is to something deeper than the words themselves. When we live with awareness and do deep, inner soul work, we open the way for God’s grace to transform our lives. Our hearing of God’s Word must be a profound listening, a constant paying attention and noticing. Our learning must be a discernment that asks how does this relate to the circumstances of my everyday life? Our living ought to witness to how we’re integrating into our thoughts and actions all that we’ve heard and been taught.

Loving God, I want to hear, to learn and to live in this way. Bless my intention to live in ways that are blessing for both me and for our world.

- Sr. Chris Koellhoffer, I.H.M.

Lord please hear our prayers and bring your light to all those in need. Come to the side of those experiencing violence in Haiti, the Middle East, Ukraine, Russia, Darfur, and the Sudan. Please hear the pleas of all those suffering around the world - and give them strength, courage and resilience to continue walking in faith. Send them your light. Father in Heaven, have mercy on us and on the whole world! You sent Your Son, the Prince of Peace, for the salvation of the world. We pray that the Peace of Christ will reign in Haiti, the Middle East, Ukraine, Russia, Darfur and Sudan. Please protect and send aid to those in need and all who are at-risk. We pray for peace and rebuilding– we who are working towards it and for all those who are suffering or in danger from conflicts. We pray for an end to violence and war – we pray for wisdom for all leaders who have a hand in this. Lord God please help those in most need of thy mercy. Amen.

Sr. Chris thank you for helping us to remember that we all reflect God's ways and what we do is a testament to his will everyday. I wanted to let those of you that knew about my special horse that he has passed and is running without any pain anymore. It is heartbreaking but it was very peaceful. God guided us through every step. My life is blessed to have shared it with him. Blessings to all the LFF, especially those with extra needs these days and may all our world leaders be filled with the love of God and Holy Spirit to lead this world under god and as a heavenly earth. May we all reflect each day on what we do and positively spread the love of God through all the world.

Good Morning Dearhearts…asking for prayers for the grandson of one of my Forever Friends in WNY. Vijay is 17 years old and an outstanding athlete. Yesterday in Gym Class he collapsed and took the full force of the fall to his face. He broke his nose and will require dental work. He is in the hospital and waiting on all the test’s results. He had a high fever the night before. The Neurologist said he noticed some weakness on one side of his brain. Please pray for Vijay and all who love him and are caring for him. Thank you.❣️

******* Starting a 40-day prayer journal specifically for my daughter, Katie, the self proclaim agnostic to come back and walk with Jesus, her Savior and soon to be Lord ✝️ *** Day Seventeen - Your glory, Lord Jesus, in Hebrews 1:3, “The Son is the shining brightness of God’s glory. He is the exact likeness of God’s being. He uses His powerful Words to hold all things together. He provided the way for people to be made pure from sin. Then He sat down at the right hand of the King, the Majesty in heaven!” *** Father, You created all things simply with Your Words. One Word from You and Your power is evident. I am by You! God, for Katie, who may have a small view of You, show her how mighty and great and loving You actually are! Help her to find comfort in that knowledge! *** Thank You for sending Your Son, Who has made our relationship with You possible! It’s in the all-powerful Name of Jesus that I pray, Amen ✝️

*** My questions, “Is your prayer a local call or long distance call? Is your prayer a direct call or a transfer call?” Deuteronomy 4:7, “The Lord our God is near us every time we pray to Him. What other nation is great enough to have its gods that close to them?” *** His Word will accomplish God’s intended purpose in Matthew 5:18, “I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved!” *** The power of His Word in John 6:63c, 68c, “Your Words, Lord, are Spirit and life…You have the Words of everlasting life!”
