Lenten Weekday
Forgiveness Is Here
So he got up and went back to his father. While he was still a long way off, his father caught sight…ran…and kissed him.
Luke 15:20

The mystery, the awesome reality and the power of forgiveness is here. It is ready, waiting, longing, keeping watch to run and kiss us and bring us into the feast. We deeply need forgiveness, though we run very far to escape it and break free, imagining that our wills on their own—without reference to God or faith—will make us happy. Instead, inevitably, they make us miserable.

We can hide that misery from others and even ourselves. But not from the One who sees us wherever we are.

“Coming to our senses” means to wake up to our own true nature (v. 17) and to open our eyes like Lazarus to see Christ in front of us (see John 11:43-44), calling us from death to life.

Bless the Lord, O my soul. All my being, bless his holy name.

Lord please hear our prayers and bring your light to all those in need. Come to the side of those experiencing violence in Haiti, the Middle East, Ukraine, Russia, Darfur, and the Sudan. Please hear the pleas of all those suffering around the world - and give them strength, courage and resilience to continue walking in faith. Send them your light. Father in Heaven, have mercy on us and on the whole world! You sent Your Son, the Prince of Peace, for the salvation of the world. We pray that the Peace of Christ will reign in Haiti, the Middle East, Ukraine, Russia, Darfur and Sudan. Please protect and send aid to those in need and all who are at-risk. We pray for peace and rebuilding– we who are working towards it and for all those who are suffering or in danger from conflicts. We pray for an end to violence and war – we pray for wisdom for all leaders who have a hand in this. Lord God please help those in most need of thy mercy. Amen.

Yes, Lord! I say Amen and agree with Micah ❤️ *** Micah 7:18-19, “Lord, Who is a God like You? You forgive sin. You forgive Your people when they do what is wrong. You don’t stay angry forever. Instead, You take delight in showing your faithful love to them. Once again you will show loving concern for us. You will completely wipe out the evil things we’ve done. You will throw all our sins into the bottom of the sea!” *** This forgiveness has caused You, Your only Son, Jesus Christ ✝️ John 3:16-17, “God so loved the world that He gave His One and only Son. Anyone who believes in Him will not die but will have eternal life. God did not send His Son into the world to judge the world. He sent His Son to save the world through Him!” *** The choice is mine in John 3:18, “Anyone who believes in him is not judged. But anyone who does not believe is judged already. They have not believed in the Name of God’s one and only Son.!” ******* This is the day of your Salvation in 2 Corinthians 6:2, “For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of Salvation, I helped you.”Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of (your) Salvation!” Amen ✝️❤️✝️

******* Starting a 40-day prayer journal specifically for my daughter, Katie, the self proclaim agnostic to come back and walk with Jesus, her Savior and soon to be Lord ✝️ *** Day thirteen - It is not about who I am (Katie’s Mom) and what I can do (praying for her), BUT GOD! *** Only You Lord God ❤️ It is Your workings and no one and nothing else will do! John 6:44, “For no one can come to Me (Jesus) unless the Father Who sent Me draws them to Me, and at the last day I will raise them up!” Amen ✝️ *** So here I am, Lord, looking to You to open Katie’s eyes so she sees You in her friends, work and surroundings, to open her hands to receive You plan and blessings for her, to open her heart to receive Your ways for her and open doors that lead her back into Your arms! Amen ✝️

The Lord is kind and full of compassion, slow to anger, abounding in mercy. How good is the Lord to all, compassionate to all His creatures.

Mary great words to remember.....we can't run from God. He knows us like the back of our hands. Yet loves us for all our faults and misgivings. What a wonderful God he is. LFF I haven't been able to keep up for a few days now. For those of you that remember my horse I spoke about, well I lost him yesterday. It was peaceful and the right time. I even got a farewell wish last night when I went out to let the dog outside he waved with a shooting star. God is so good to us. This guy was supposed to be put down years ago but God knew I needed him in my life. He gave us 6 1/2 blissful years together. Thank you God for all you do. Blessings to all the LFF, especially those needed extra hands these days. Pope Francis and all our world leaders. May we all go out and spread the love of through all the world everyday.

Stormi, your peace comes through your love for your horse and the gratefulness of the extended time you had with your horse ❤️ God bless you! I believe we will see our animals again in Isaiah 11:6-8, “In that day the wolf and the lamb will live together; the leopard will lie down with the baby goat. The calf and the yearling will be safe with the lion, and a little child will lead them all. The cow will graze near the bear. The cub and the calf will lie down together. The lion will eat hay like a cow. The baby will play safely near the hole of a cobra. Yes, a little child will put its hand in a nest of deadly snakes without harm!”

I am so sorry for your loss. Horses are such beautiful animals. They become like a member of the family when you have one for so long. I am glad you found peace last night seeing the shooting star. God blesses us with animals. It helps us share our love with His bigger Kingdom! It makes us better people along the way.

A Blessed and Happy Saturday to everyone in the LFF and know that I remember all of you in my prayers. Let us find holy peace in forgiveness, including forgiveness for ourselves. Ken, so happy to hear that the transfusion is helping Chris. Praying that he can get to his full potential now that he’s on the right track. God bless you, good Dad. Jane, hope you and Scoop have a wonderful reunion in Italy this weekend. Bellisimo!!

My prayer "Lord Jesus, may I never doubt your love nor take for granted the mercy you have shown to me. Fill me with your transforming love that I may be merciful as you are merciful."
