One of the ways I reflect on my day comes from John O’Donohue’s “A Mirror of Questions,” a listing of creative ways to examine the “stuff” of my life and how the Holy One has been present in that “stuff.” A favorite and often used question is “Where did my eyes linger today?” It’s a way of asking, what did I pay attention to today? What did I notice? What occupied my time?
That question offers another way of looking more deeply into where we’ve kept our eyes fixed on Jesus and where we may have missed his presence in the persons we encounter, in the living Word of Scripture, in the movements of the Spirit within us.

AMEN!! I saved that poem on my computer. A great way to examine the day as well as my conscience!
My prayer Lord Jesus, you love each of us individually with a unique and personal love. Touch my life with your saving power, heal and restore me to fullness of life. Help me to give wholly of myself in loving service to others."
Sr. Chris your words today narrated my morning. I have had many questions of late about why I am where I am and found my answer this morning feeding my horses. As clear as mud lol. Your words made it clearer :) Thank you for that poem I printed it out. Blessings to all the LFF. extra prayers for those with extra needs these days. May we spread the love of God through all the world.
AMEN!
Lord thank you for the strength I find here. Jesus shows mercy today despite His followers mission for the day. I can testify to His mercy and have learned it is not intended to “fix all” but to give us strength to continue on the path set before us. I am severely lacking energy these days with all that has happened and find even just commenting here taxing. But Stormi, Jane, Ken and everyone, I am so grateful for the mental boost I have gotten here each morning. I found a lady close by who has horses of her own Stormi, and will see if she is open to allowing Garrett a visit. one of her horses has an infection in his foot/hoof and could uses some attention while he is lame—-they maybe can comfort each other. And I will pray Whiski finds healing too—through God’s mercy to him and to you. So you all have given me a boost to comment on last Thursday’s PT/OT—it was a big step. They peeled off the last of the eschar from the wound on top of the hand and started whirlpool—no more bandages! He is now in a compression glove 23 hours per day with lots of basic daily PT like stacking cones and manipulation of fingers. Lots of scarring that they say may be limiting the muscle movement so we are praying the whirlpool, exercises and massage of the massive scar tissue will decrease the scarring without another surgery. The doc sees surgery in the near future for this but I’m hoping prayer will wow the staff once again—I pray we may be an instrument of His peace (and faith) to those working in that everyday world. It is so needed out there in the big cities! Sadly it is a weekly if not daily struggle with workman’s comp and related issues. Praying for each of you asking Our Lord to meet your needs and fill your hearts. peggyR, I pray life is ok with you and your grandson.
*** Salina, "What does Ms Salina love the most?" BSF students, "Questions!!!" I will reshare these valuable questions I got from BSF leadership meeting I posted days ago! *** To evaluate my faith focus in relation to my vertical relationship with God: 1. Do you thirst for God? 2. Are you governed increasingly by God’s Word? 3. Are you more sensitive to God’s presence? 4. Are the spiritual disciplines increasingly important to you? 5. Do you still grieve over sin? 6. Do you yearn for heaven and to be with Jesus? *** To evaluate my faith focus in relation to my horizontal relationship with others: 1. Are you more loving? 2. Do you have a growing concern for the spiritual and temporal needs of others? 3. Do you delight in the bride of Christ (the church)? 4. Are you quick to forgive others? ******* You want to ask the people around you these questions about you to give you honest feedback...that will be the reality of what we try to accomplish! Another evaluation will be to look at our check books!!! Where my focus is is where my money goes!
Amen. :)

Thank you, Sr Chris. I was not aware of the poem. So I looked it up and it is very thought provoking. It's now hanging on my cubicle wall.

Lord please hear our prayers and bring your light to all those in need. Come to the side of those experiencing violence in Haiti, the Middle East, Ukraine, Russia, Darfur, and the Sudan. Please hear the pleas of all those suffering around the world - and give them strength, courage and resilience to continue walking in faith. Send them your light. Father in Heaven, have mercy on us and on the whole world! You sent Your Son, the Prince of Peace, for the salvation of the world. We pray that the Peace of Christ will reign in Haiti, the Middle East, Ukraine, Russia, Darfur and Sudan. Please protect and send aid to those in need and all who are at-risk. We pray for peace and rebuilding– we who are working towards it and for all those who are suffering or in danger from conflicts. We pray for an end to violence and war – we pray for wisdom for all leaders who have a hand in this. Lord God please help those in most need of thy mercy. Amen.
