Some of the greatest leaders are the best at telling a relevant personal story to facilitate change or promote an idea. A personal story of transformation, suffering, failure or victory. Leaders tell the story that matters.
Paul shared his story of transformation to call others to Christ and invite them to go and tell the Good News. I had first wondered why God chose Paul, and then the question changed to “Why not?” God can call any one of us by name to do something new or different. We can trust that path will have a beautiful purpose. Let God redirect you if needed. Trust God with the story and good news of your life. Trust God to lead you along the way. Let us tell the story of our encounter with Christ to make a difference in the world.

Yes, my history is His story!!! *** Paul’s personal encounter with Jesus in ACTS 22:8, 11, 13, “ ‘Who are you, Lord?’ I (Paul) asked.“ ‘I am Jesus of Nazareth,’ He replied. ‘I am the One you are opposing.’…The brightness of the light had blinded me. So my companions led me by the hand into Damascus…He (Ananias) stood beside me and said, ‘Brother Saul (Paul), receive your sight!’ At that very moment I was able to see him!” *** Do you have a personal encounter with Jesus like Paul did? Paul was doing what he thought was the right thing to do for his church! How about you? Are you doing what you think is for the church and yet God’s Word speaks of it differently? *** Paul’s encounter with Jesus reminds me of the song Amazing Grace written by John Newton reflecting his encounter with Jesus, https://youtu.be/Tvt6E9N7AQw?si=8Tp5nAwdurRYuFNE ******* God’s exhortation to Paul through Ananais back then and to us today in Acts 22:14-16, “Then he (Ananais) said, ‘The God of our people has chosen you. He wanted to tell you His plans for you. You have seen the Blameless One. You have heard Words from His mouth. Now you will tell everyone about what you have seen and heard. So what are you waiting for? Get up and call on His Name (Jesus). Be baptized. Have your sins washed away.’”
Amen.

Lord please hear our prayers and bring your light to all those who have been hurt, killed and impacted by terrorist attacks. Come to the side of those experiencing violence in Haiti, the Middle East, Ukraine, Russia, Darfur, and the Sudan. Please hear the pleas of all those suffering around the world - and give them strength, courage and resilience to continue walking in faith. Send them your light. Father in Heaven, have mercy on us and on the whole world! You sent Your Son, the Prince of Peace, for the salvation of the world. We pray that the Peace of Christ will reign in Haiti, the Middle East, Ukraine, Russia, Darfur and Sudan. Please protect and send aid to those in need and all who are at-risk. We pray for peace and rebuilding– we who are working towards it and for all those who are suffering or in danger from conflicts. We pray for an end to violence and war – we pray for wisdom for all leaders who have a hand in this. Lord God please help those in most need of thy mercy. Amen
