Christmas Weekday
Courageous Faith
Jesus stretched out his hand, touched him, and said, “I do will it. Be made clean.” And the leprosy left him immediately.
Luke 5:13

The man with leprosy approaches Jesus, heedless of how harshly the authorities will respond. I am drawn first to this man’s unfailing, courageous faith in Jesus. It’s a high bar. I stop to consider—letting myself off the hook—that this man has no recourse. At that time, even the best physicians could not lessen his deformity and suffering, much less understand the cause. The authorities judged leprosy to be spiritual failure: Lepers were morally unclean.

Today, leprosy is treatable with antibiotics, but modern medicine has not lessened our reliance on Christ. Jesus met the leper the same way he meets us today, showing us how to love one another. By our faith in the one who releases us from fear and forgives us unconditionally, we are healed.

Jesus, we know you are here with us, touching our hearts, so that we may have life more abundantly.

Loved, "By our faith in the One Who releases us from fear and forgives us unconditionally, we are healed!" It is not just in the physical and temporary healing but most of all it is all about the spiritual and eternal healing by faith that we seek!!! *** My faith is so small in Matthew 8:26a, "He (Jesus) replied, “Your faith is so small! Why are you so afraid?”" *** Are you afraid in your current circumstance? To start this small faith is as simple as just "believe!" Believe what? *** Believe One) Jesus is the Christ in 1 John 5:1 Two) Jesus is the Son of God in 1 John 5:5 Three) in the Name of the Son of God in 1 John 5:13 ******* Whe you believe by God's grace in faith here are the results One) The person has become a child of God in 1 John 5:1 Two) The person has won the battle over the world in 1 John 5:5 Three) The person has eternal life

Deborah thank you so much for those great words to help us look at where God is with us. I try very hard to see that and to thank him for those times he has helped. Miguel A like that prayer thank you! Blessings to all the LFF, especially those in current struggles, those going through the loss of fires in California, Joann's family and more. Pray for those who unlawfully try to access this or any site to be malicious. May God convert their talents to doing good for the world instead. May we all go out and safely spread the love of God through all the world everyday.

Agree Stormi...praying for Anonymous (is the name related to the word annoy?) that he/she behind the comments using whatever will submit to and be convicted by the Holy Spirit!!! Anonymous may be someone using AI or ChatGPT to write these comments because part of the theology may be true but has no human characteristics :-( *** Ephesians 4:14-16, "We will no longer be babies in the faith. We won’t be like ships tossed around by the waves. We won’t be blown here and there by every new teaching. We won’t be blown around by cleverness and tricks. Certain people use them to hide their evil plans. Instead, we will speak the TRUTH in LOVE. So we will grow up in every way to become the body of Christ. Christ is the head of the body. He makes the whole body grow and build itself up in love. Under the control of Christ, each part of the body does its work. It supports the other parts. In that way, the body is joined and held together." *** Matthew 15:10-11, "Jesus called the crowd to Him. He said, “Listen and understand. What goes into someone’s mouth does not make them ‘unclean.’ It’s what comes out of their mouth that makes them ‘unclean.’ ” *** Ephesians 4:25b-26a, "Speak the truth to your neighbor. We are all parts of one body. Scripture says, “When you are angry, do not sin.” (Psalm 4:4)"

Joann, may our Lord Jesus bring , peace, hope, and healing to your sister-in-law Debbie and all your family. And to all those in California who have lost their homes with all their belongings, their businesses, and even family members, may they find their true treasure, hope and consolation is in the Lord Jesus, for when all else is taken away, He remains and offers the Way to restoration .

Good morning LFF I have often requested prayers for my sister in law Debbie. Requesting prayers for her not only for healing. She was recently in the hospital again and may need to return but also for the drain on the her family's finances due to the ongoing treatments she receives at home. There was a significant change in the cost of insurance that family has through my brother in laws company In addition she misplaced a bag of medication that costs within the 10000s. This comes amid the two funerals this week for the recent deaths in the family of our nephew Tommy (this past Tues) and our niece Jenna(tomorrow) ( Not brother and sister and not Debbie's children)

Praying for Debbie and the whole family. There can be so much mental anguish over medical issues and insurances in general. I pray for all those dealing with needs that are not met because of denials and costs.

Thank you to the Living Faith Team for the quick response of the recent off/on comment feature. As a fact of doing anything in this digital age there are people who are eager to disrupt platforms of this kind. I for one will patiently wait while you make this a more secure site. Prayers to you for your efforts. Bill L.
