St. Ambrose
‘This Is the Way’
While from behind, a voice shall sound in your ears:
“This is the way; walk in it,”
when you would turn to the right or to the left.
Isaiah 30:21

Despite the way it often feels, we’re not alone in chaos and confusion, each fighting to create our own path to happiness and pleasure. There is a Guide who knows and leads the way to real life. Taking this way brings harmony and beauty to our lives. The whole cosmos, from the ants to the stars, each created thing takes its place and shows its beauty simply by being what the Lord made it to be.

For us humans, we are invited to make God’s way our own, letting go of everything else. In this way, we are given all the graces we need to turn our will to his and to receive more than we can ask or imagine.

Lord, you are the way. Lead us along the true path of life that is you.

Thank you Mary, I have long felt a tiny part of the cosmos, a cosmos created by God. Although tiny, I believe, no more, no less than any human, I am significant in Gods plan. God created humanity for a purpose and we are not alone, in fact we are all connected if we so choose to be. I believe John 14:23 confirms this; Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. With Gods Spirit guiding me, I have no fear navigating an exciting cosmic sized journey I love but don’t fully comprehend.

"Life is a succession of moments; to live each one is to succeed." St. Dymphna May the God of Joy be with you, thrilling you with nearness, filling your heart to fullness and filling your throat to ringing, singing exultantly. May the blessing of joy be on you.

Thank you Mary for the reflection today. God’s way is not our way. Sometimes it’s hard to make it our own, but we still try! Thanks for all the well wishes everyone. Next chapter starting and moving on :-). Sending light to Ray, Jane and her mum, Laura and all of Ken’s community who need lifting. Amen.

Lord please hear our prayers and bring your light to all those experiencing natural disasters, as well as those in Haiti, the Middle East, Ukraine, Russia, Darfur, the Sudan, in addition to all those suffering around the world - also for their strength, courage and resilience to continue walking in faith. Send them your light. Father in Heaven, have mercy on us and on the whole world! You sent Your Son, the Prince of Peace, for the salvation of the world. We pray that the Peace of Christ will reign in Haiti, the Middle East, Ukraine, Russia, Darfur and Sudan. Please protect and send aid to those in need and all who are at-risk. We pray for peace and rebuilding– we who are working towards it and for all those who are suffering or in danger from conflicts. We pray for an end to violence and war – we pray for wisdom for all leaders who have a hand in this. Lord God please help those in most need of thy mercy. Amen

My prayer "Lord Jesus, rouse my spirit from complacency and stir my faith to see you act today. Give me boldness to live and proclaim the message of the kingdom of heaven and to be a prophetic sign of that kingdom to this generation."

Mary thank you for your inspiration. Sometimes in this weary world it's hard to hear him talking to us. I pray everyday that I take the right path. Jane so sorry you had a bad day yesterday with you mum. Prayers for a smoother road today and in the future. :{} (distant hug) Blessings to all the LFF. especially those with extra needs these days and an extra hand to help give them strength. May we all shine the light and love of God on the world everyday.

Stormi, how is Journey? Was that your new dog’s name? I was trying to remember :-). For some reason I had Shiloh on my mind and said a quick prayer that she was running around with dogs that have also gone over the rainbow!

*** The human reality may feel like this in Isaiah 30:20a, "He might treat you like prisoners. You might eat the bread of trouble. You might drink the water of suffering!" *** In God's economy and behind the scenes reality is like this in Isaiah 30:20b, 19, "But He will be your Teacher. He won’t hide Himself anymore. You will see Him with your own eyes...People of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you won’t weep anymore. When you cry out to the Lord for help, He will have mercy on you. As soon as He hears you, He’ll answer you!" *** How does God's reality happen in Isaiah 30:21, "You will hear your Teacher’s voice behind you. You will hear it whether you turn to the right or the left. It will say, “Here is the path I want you to take. So walk on it.” ******* What does the Teacher's voice say to do in Isaiah 30:22, "Then you will get rid of the silver statues of your gods. You won’t have anything to do with the gold statues either. All of them are “unclean.” So you will throw them away like dirty rags. You will say to them, “Get away from us!”" *** What does the silver or gold statues of your gods look like? Mine looks like anyone (myself and my ability) or anything (goals and accomplishments) that take the place of Jesus when I depend on any names and pray to any names other than the Name of Jesus :-((( *** These people actually called out to the rocks and mountains when God's wrath came in Revelation 6:15-17, "Everyone hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. This included the kings of the earth, the princes and the generals. It included rich people and powerful people. It also included everyone else, both slaves and people who were free. They called out to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us! Hide us from the face of the One Who sits on the throne! Hide us from the anger of the Lamb! The great day of their anger has come. Who can live through it?”" *** You think they would call out to the One true God Himself but no they didn't :-( One the other hand, the martyrs under the altar called out to the One true God remembering His attributes of sovereign, holy and true in Revelation 6:9-10, "When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of all who had been martyred for the Word of God and for being faithful in their testimony. They shouted to the Lord and said, “O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you judge the people who belong to this world and avenge our blood for what they have done to us?”" ******* Who are you going to call when you are in trouble?!?!?!
