Jesus had deep compassion for all who needed to be cured. This story shows his compassion for the caregivers who brought them up the mountain and laid them at his feet. He sensed their hunger and the danger of their collapsing when trying to make their way down the mountain and home. He instructed his disciples to gather what food there was—seven loaves of bread, a few fish. He gave thanks, and the food was miraculously multiplied until all could eat and be satisfied.
AMEN!
Patricia thank you for those words. Wow everyone, as my world feels likes its spinning around me in evil I read all the wonderful comments in faith that is out there in all of you! All I can say is WOW! I sit here with tears falling down my cheek and my mouth open wide in ah of you amazing people and the encouragement I feel from you all! THANK YOU! Blessings to all the LFF especially those with extra needs these days. May the love, faith and hope of the LFF infiltrate this world everyday with peace!
Oh God is so good! Patricia and Terence thank you. Yesterday’s meditation followed by today’s give me a soaring hope of what the Lord can and will do if we ask. In reading this today I feel how Jesus has multiplied for my needs!!! What small amount to begin with has become miraculously life sustaining when people shared what little they had especially with those who felt they have nothing to contribute (and we know all do have ‘talent’ from God). EN my boys are adult as well, one 26 one 33and still live at home because of their disabilities, and I see God’s plan in this many times too. My long time friends here and my new, you have given your fish and loaves so many times through your heartfelt stories, encouragement and prayers and have truly allowed Jesus to feed us all with plenty left over. If you could only feel my heart for you in my prayers and throughout my day in my thoughts. I always hesitate to name for fear of leaving a name out but your names are on my lips as I go about my chores and they make me smile! Yes, what a start to this advent season already for me as hard as life still is at the moment. Garrett is encouraged when I tell him people around the WORLD are praying for him. Dad took him for the wound assessment early this morning. Daily bandages changes are very painful as each debrides dead tissue, 4 pins are still in the hand and a skin graft can’t take place until after those pins come out. He cries he wants his finger back and worries they will still have to amputate the middle finger as well. His mind now is trying to accept the diagnosis of “mangled hand”. And yet even with tears about his future and many, many questions about “why God would let this happen”, I see his faith grow. I will share one question that I thought had the most insightful answer from a church member. He keeps asking why God won’t speak to him like Moses or Job (he seems focused on these books). Her answer was: before Jesus God had to speak to those most faithful because there was no earthly bridge. Jesus in His leaving promised He would send an advocate to always be with us for guidance and voice and support—The Holy Spirit. And so we have something those Old Testament characters did not have. The Holy Spirit is now that voice and I believe so many of you hear it and speak it every day! May God bless each and every one of you in the way best for your soul while giving you the most precious gift of peace in all!
Thanks to the caregivers at home. They give their all to their loved ones. Their reward is seeing kind eyes and gentle smiles. Amen!
Patricia, thank you so much for sending extra prayers for those caregivers (especially the many who are on this site) who need a little extra to help them with self care. May the Lord renew them during this holiday season and allow them to be refreshed. Amen. Thank you Lord Jesus for showing us how to be a caregiver and demonstrate compassion for those needing it. Amen.
Lord please hear our prayers and bring your light to all those experiencing natural disasters, as well as those in Haiti, the Middle East, Ukraine, Russia, Darfur, the Sudan, in addition to all those suffering around the world - also for their strength, courage and resilience to continue walking in faith. Send them your light. Father in Heaven, have mercy on us and on the whole world! You sent Your Son, the Prince of Peace, for the salvation of the world. We pray that the Peace of Christ will reign in Haiti, the Middle East, Ukraine, Russia, Darfur and Sudan. Please protect and send aid to those in need and all who are at-risk. We pray for peace and rebuilding– we who are working towards it and for all those who are suffering or in danger from conflicts. We pray for an end to violence and war – we pray for wisdom for all leaders who have a hand in this. Lord God please help those in most need of thy mercy. Amen

This is how our Lord God cares for each of His people in Isaiah 25:6-8, "On Mount Zion the Lord Who rules over all will prepare a feast for all the nations. The best and richest foods and the finest aged wines will be served. On that mountain the Lord will destroy the veil of sadness that covers all the nations. He will destroy the gloom that is spread over everyone. He will swallow up death forever. The Lord and King will wipe away the tears from everyone’s face. He will remove the shame of His people from the whole earth. The Lord has spoken." *** Revelation 19:9, "Here is what the angel told me (John) to write. “Blessed are those invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” Then he added, “These are the true words of God.” *** Revelation 21:4, "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death.’ (Isaiah 25:8) And there will be no more sadness. There will be no more crying or pain. Things are no longer the way they used to be.” *** Hebrews 1:1-2a, "In the past, God spoke to our people through the prophets. He spoke at many times. He spoke in different ways. But in these last days, He has spoken to us through His Son!" Ezekiel 36:36, "Then the nations that remain around you will know that I have rebuilt what was once destroyed. I have planted again the fields that were once empty. I have spoken. And I will do this. I am the Lord.” ******* Remember these promises are for His people (are you His people?) in Romans 8:28-30, "We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him. He appointed them to be saved in keeping with His purpose. God planned that those He had chosen would become like His Son. In that way, Christ will be the first and most honored among many brothers and sisters. And those God has planned for, He has also appointed to be saved. Those He has appointed, He has made right with Himself. To those He has made right with Himself, He has given His glory!" Hallelujah :-)

We ask you to intercede with our brother, Jesus, to send His saving grace to heal the sickness and suffering of __________________, to uplift his/her despondent spirit, and to instill hope in his/her heart.
