How many of us could do that?
In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus spots a widow who gives everything she has, “two small coins…her whole livelihood” (vv. 42-44), to the Temple treasury. The generosity of that gesture is, frankly, breathtaking. But so is something even more poignant: the widow’s unwavering and total trust. Here is a woman willing to throw caution to the winds and give all she has to the Temple, trusting entirely that she would somehow find a way to make ends meet.
This episode is commonly known as “The Widow’s Mite.” But considering the impact of this moment, maybe we should consider “The Widow’s Might.”
There is a quiet power in her selflessness—a mighty lesson in faith and a reminder that what we can give God isn’t just measured in money. It is also measured in time and attention, in fidelity, devotion and love.
It can even be measured in trust.
How much are we able to give to God?
I was deeply troubled this week, but as I told my husband, God has a plan for us, we just have to place our trust in him and believe. Praise to you, Lord.
Ken, I will keep Sal in my prayers for a successful surgery and smooth recovery afterward. May the Lord heal his heart as He guides his doctors and all his caregivers throughout this procedure. Amen.

Lord please hear our prayers and bring your light to all those experiencing natural disasters, as well as those in Haiti, the Middle East, Ukraine, Russia, Darfur, the Sudan, in addition to all those suffering around the world - also for their strength, courage and resilience to continue walking in faith. Send them your light. Father in Heaven, have mercy on us and on the whole world! You sent Your Son, the Prince of Peace, for the salvation of the world. We pray that the Peace of Christ will reign in Haiti, the Middle East, Ukraine, Russia, Darfur and Sudan. Please protect and send aid to those in need and all who are at-risk. We pray for peace and rebuilding– we who are working towards it and for all those who are suffering or in danger from conflicts. We pray for an end to violence and war – we pray for wisdom for all leaders who have a hand in this. Lord God please help those in most need of thy mercy. Amen
Peace to everyone, Amen!
Amen...Lord... continue to allow me to trust in you completely
Loved, “It can even be measured in trust. How much are we able to give to God?” Yes, How much are we able to trust God in all that we say, do and respond with all our hearts, souls and minds?!?!?! *** Here is another widow in 1 Kings 17, 8-9, 12, 15-16, “A message came to Elijah from the Lord. He said, “Go right away to Zarephath in the region of Sidon. Stay there. I have directed a widow there to supply you with food.”…….“I don’t have any bread,” she replied. “And that’s just as sure as the Lord your God is alive. All I have is a small amount of flour in a jar and a little olive oil in a jug. I’m gathering a few sticks to take home. I’ll make one last meal for myself and my son. We’ll eat it. After that, we’ll die.”…….She went away and did what Elijah had told her to do. So Elijah had food every day. There was also food for the woman and her family. The jar of flour wasn’t used up. The jug always had oil in it. That’s what the Lord had said would happen. He had spoken that message through Elijah!” *** How do I trust God in my words, deeds and responses with all my heart, soul and mind? Don’t depend on my own understanding in Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not depend on your own understanding. In all your ways obey Him. Then He will make your paths smooth and straight!” *** How do I trust God in my words, deeds and responses with all my heart, soul and mind? Do know God’s promises in His Word in Isaiah 41:10, “So do not be afraid. I am with you. Do not be terrified. I am your God. I will make you strong and help you. I will hold you safe in My hands. I always do what is right!” ******* My personal experiences and encounters with God build my trust in God over time in my life verse Isaiah 40:31, “But those who trust in the Lord will receive new strength. They will fly as high as eagles. They will run and not get tired. They will walk and not grow weak!” Amen ♥️✝️♥️

Thank you Saint Jude! Most holy Apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally, as the patron of difficult cases, of things almost despaired of, Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone.
