Every living being needs water. Yet, as humans created in God’s image, we also need the living water of Christ.
What are you thirsting for right now at this very moment? What empty well have you tried to fill over and over again—by someone or something without any success? Could it be that many of us are seeking what we cannot find through our own volition?
When my children were younger, they would run off the field, parched, and ask for Gatorade. Refreshed, they would return to play.
Reflecting upon how my faith helps to satisfy the deepest of thirsts, I started to think of Jesus as the real-deal Gatorade. Jesus is the only one who can truly fill our tapped-out wells. If we drink of Jesus’ living water, then we will never be thirsty again. Now is the time to soak up our Lord—the ultimate thirst quencher.
Kate what fulfilling words. Thank you. I pray that those waters of Jesus and his love spreads throughout all the world especially to our new president elect and all those running this country. My daily prayers include praying that the president of the United States will unite this country under God. Blessings to all the LFF especially with extra needs today. May we all spread the love of God through all the world everyday!
Trusting God: "Whoever does not trust the Lord in small matters is quite clearly an unbeliever in things of greater importance." St. Basil the Great
Lord please hear our prayers and bring your light to all those experiencing natural disasters, as well as those in Haiti, the Middle East, Ukraine, Russia, Darfur, the Sudan, in addition to all those suffering around the world - also for their strength, courage and resilience to continue walking in faith. Send them your light. Father in Heaven, have mercy on us and on the whole world! You sent Your Son, the Prince of Peace, for the salvation of the world. We pray that the Peace of Christ will reign in Haiti, the Middle East, Ukraine, Russia, Darfur and Sudan. Please protect and send aid to those in need and all who are at-risk. We pray for peace and rebuilding– we who are working towards it and for all those who are suffering or in danger from conflicts. We pray for an end to violence and war – we pray for wisdom for all leaders who have a hand in this. Lord God please help those in most need of thy mercy. Amen

Today’s readings, oh what a twist in meaning they can have under different circumstance! Jesus, in anger, threw over the tables selling in the temple because the temple was God’s house. For me the fights have begun with the temple of Garrett’s body and arguing with the workmen’s comp insurance as to who and where care can be provided. Here, when I’m not sure if I’m doing right, the Lord speaks to me again. Jane, rejoicing with you in that perfect PSAT but hold close to your heart so much will be expected of him and pressures will be high so don’t let him ever forget the child inside and when the day comes that the best is expected of him and he feels it’s too much let him know he doesn’t have to be best he only has to be full of God’s love. And Salina! Thank you thank you for yesterday’s post—I needed that funny to start this day! Dreams, nightmares, whatever, we are blessed with life for a short period of time to experience a reality that only humans can through God’s creative hands and many a creature would trade their existence for our nightmare. Have a good weekend everyone and thank you all for the continued prayers, each of your faces are beautiful in my mind when I pray for you!
Amen!

There is only one person and one place for this Living water ✝️ *** John 4:13-14, “Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water (from an earthly well) will be thirsty again. But anyone who drinks the water I give them will never be thirsty. In fact, the water I give them will become a spring of water in them. It will flow up into eternal life.” *** John 7:37-38, “It was the last and most important day of the feast. Jesus stood up and spoke in a loud voice. He said, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to Me and drink. Does anyone believe in Me? Then, just as Scripture says, rivers of living water will flow from inside them.” *** Believing in Jesus and drinking from Jesus (Salvation - faith in Jesus) results in receiving the Holy Spirit in John 7:39, “When He (Jesus) said this, He meant the Holy Spirit. Those who believed in Jesus would receive the Spirit later. Up to that time, the Spirit had not been given. This was because Jesus had not yet received glory!” ******* To receive this Living Water is to be born again in John 3:5-7, “Jesus answered, “What I’m about to tell you is true. No one can enter God’s kingdom unless they are born with water and the Holy Spirit. People give birth to people. But the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised when I say, ‘You must all be born again.’”
