Tomorrow ends the 2024 presidential campaigning. I’d like to breathe a sigh of relief, but it’s not that simple. There’s healing work to be done. The partisan war of words has impacted us all. Paul’s exhortation in his letter to the Philippians serves as a guide for moving forward. Paul, too, lived in troubled times but never lost sight of the Gospel message. He remained focused on it despite the adversity he endured. Paul knew God’s love could not be silenced. It still can’t—unless our wounds hold us hostage. Paul didn’t allow the anger of his own time to pollute the mission God gave him. His mission is also ours—to love one another, to seek common ground, to place others before us. That’s a tall order. But love, and only love, heals wounds.
The first step is to put aside our differences. God is counting on me, on you, to do just that.
Sending extra prayers this evening for you and your family, Vicky. Also, for Juan as he and Susan journey on the road to recovery, Jane.
You all truly are an internet “family”. The prayers and messages are what is giving me strength—it lets me know we are not alone and are supported in spirit! Saturday’s dressing change took over 2 hours so you can imagine the care & where our energies are at the moment. I opted to do the nursing care myself to limit home care time constraints & infection risks. He is in a lot of pain so of course that’s a big concern. Each and every one of the messages and prayers are appreciated & I am beyond grateful. Especially those for Garrett & his special needs—the autism only makes it more difficult due to communication barriers. My Atlanta friends I love you and definitely will add a prayer each day for your safety on those highways. We will be traveling them a lot in the next few weeks. Also those of you ever needing care from Grady Memorial I have nothing but good things to say about the personnel and care there and thank our Lord for Dr. Fang and his dedication. Tomorrow he goes for the 1st post op visit and I will update you on his condition. In the meantime 4 hour car time makes for lots of rosaries and you all and your intentions known and unknown to me will be prayed for especially Susan and Juan as they find a new normal in life. I too will be praying that healing amongst division will begin post election and those on opposite sides can see the enemy’s aim in dividing us as a people. I love you my friends, God bless each one of you.
Humility: " Humility is the virtue that requires the greatest amount of effort." St. Rose Philippine Duchesne. I pray that whoever loses the election tomorrow is humble enough to accept the results.
AMEN!
*** The ultimate healing of all by the wounds of Jesus in Isaiah 53:4-5, "He suffered the things we should have suffered. He took on Himself the pain that should have been ours. But we thought God was punishing Him. We thought God was wounding Him and making Him suffer. But the servant was pierced because we had sinned. He was crushed because we had done what was evil. He was punished to make us whole again. His wounds have healed us!" *** Yes, words will continue to fly even after the election...But my God remains the same ❤️ Here will be my prayer Wednesday morning in Daniel 2:20-23, "He (Daniel) said, “May God be praised for ever and ever! He is wise and powerful. He changes times and seasons. He removes some kings from power. He causes other kings to rule. The wisdom of those who are wise comes from Him. He gives knowledge to those who have understanding. He explains deep and hidden things. He knows what happens in the darkest places. And where He is, everything is light. God of my people of long ago, I thank and praise You. You have given me wisdom and power. You have made known to me what we asked You for. You have shown us..." Amen! ✝️ *** How to get through the aftermath of the election (not if but what and how) in John 8:31-32, "Jesus then said to those Jews who believed in Him, “If you remain in My Word, you will truly be My disciples, and you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.” ******* What is the Truth? Rather WHO is the Truth in John 14:6, "Jesus answered, “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me!" Do you know this Jesus? Are you in His Word? Is He your only One? *** By His wounds, I am healed ❤️✝️❤️ *** By His Stripes We are Healed in Isaiah 53:3-7 https://youtu.be/iTLZy620mT4?si=Evo1xPl8G3E7GmJQ *** Jesus Loves Me https://youtu.be/MUIUF59xzvk?si=t4JHrVgagHJhnBmp
Gail thank you for your words of guidance. I don't know how Paul did it. He loved so unconditionally which is so very hard to do as you get hurt in return. My heart hurts for this whole world in the lack of Gods unity. Blessings to all the LFF. Continued prayers for all those in need especially Vicky and her son. I lite a candle at mass Saturday for you. May we all keep the faith and spread the love of God through all the world.
Amen.☮️
Thank you Gail, yes it will be a time of healing. May we all play a part in that and recognize that God is asking each of us to love and help others heal. Speaking of healing, Lord be at the side of Vicky’s son and ensure his guardian angel is close to walk the healing journey with him. Susan is getting out of rehab today after 76 days in hospital / rehab (combined). Juan is terrified and excited all at the same time. Asking for all their family’s guardian angels to be in full attendance at the home during this transition and healing time. Amen.
Lord please hear our prayers and bring your light to all those experiencing natural disasters, as well as those in Haiti, the Middle East, Ukraine, Russia, Darfur, the Sudan, in addition to all those suffering around the world - also for their strength, courage and resilience to continue walking in faith. Send them your light. Father in Heaven, have mercy on us and on the whole world! You sent Your Son, the Prince of Peace, for the salvation of the world. We pray that the Peace of Christ will reign in Haiti, the Middle East, Ukraine, Russia, Darfur and Sudan. Please protect and send aid to those in need and all who are at-risk. We pray for peace and rebuilding– we who are working towards it and for all those who are suffering or in danger from conflicts. We pray for an end to violence and war – we pray for wisdom for all leaders who have a hand in this. Lord God please help those in most need of thy mercy. Amen.
Amen!
Amen .. thank you Gail...Vicky, I pray for a full recovery for your son...I was in your shoes last year and throughout that ordeal my faith never wavered nor was I scared.... the Guardian angels surrounded us and I believe it's the same with your son..... he's alive, with you and you'll be able to handle anything now...God bless LFF
Amen!
Gale, tomorrow is an opportunity to take to heart and with action Ph 2::1-4: take care of your self AND others. I mean specifically ProLife, including humane treatment of immigrants, legal or otherwise.

Good evening LFF, these past 3 weeks have been a whirlwind for me my wife. We did a road trip from Ohio to the Carolina’s, first to visit my cousin Paula and her husband Vinny, who are now living in an assisted living facility. We then spent a day with a couple who started a wonderful nonprofit organization in NC that we are going to bring to Ohio in 2025 (more on that later), and finally to our SC vacation home for some R & R and a few projects. 2,000+ miles and lots of ground covered but please know that I kept up as best as possible with everyone’s prayer requests and challenges of life. You were all lifted in prayer last night at Life Teen mass. Continued prayers for all as we enter tomorrow’s Election Day. May we come together as a nation and put aside our differences for the betterment of our country and give glory and praise to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for all the blessings that we have received in this great, yet imperfect, country.
