The Blessed Virgin Mary made a prediction that will always remain true. It’s about her being called blessed. She is not bragging about her title, but she is humbly praising God Almighty, who gave her the fullness of grace. Mary, unequivocally, calls herself a servant—a lowly servant of God. We do not customarily refer to her as St. Mary. We address her as Blessed Mary, because she foretold that all generations would give her that title. However, I often theorize that her preferred title would be Servant of God. Mary is blessed because she is God’s servant.
We can all strive to be servants of God and thereby become blessed. A person has great dignity to be a servant of God. That’s what Jesus was. He clearly said that he came not to be served but to serve. (See Mark 10:45.)
Yes, precious Mary she didn’t ask anyone, look respect and honor me because I am the mother of Jesus. No on the contrary Mary had a humble heart. She became a selfless servant, and she makes intercession for us. She loves God and respects His word. What will keep us from being a servant? The number one thing God hates, pride. Pride says, “look honor, respect me for my works. Give me attention to hide my insecurities.” ~~~ Humility says, don’t honor or respect me. I don’t want that kind of attention or exultation from men. My desire is to be exalted above sin. ~ ~ ~ That’s a servants heart, we might cry out to God and tremble at His word. “May the days of my life lived here on earth be with desire to be exalted above sin, not honored by men. To be like precious Mother Mary. Your word God is truth and life. I am blessed today with favor because I honor Your word. Some ask, “what about the hypocrites within the church?” It’s OK, God will deal with them. You stay humble and filled with the Holy Spirit. Let’s look at our own hearts , because we can’t help others and love others if we do not humble self, and hide Gods word in our hearts. In fact we can end up hurting others and ourselves. God says we are to love the Lord God with all our heart and love others as our self. It starts with us. “God help me so I can help others. Help me to respect Your word and have servants heart to love you with all my heart and others as myself.” Amen
Amen.
Jessi asked me to be with her driving down Wednesday (today) during this grieving period for her lost relationship! But prompted by the Holy Spirit, I came to her apartment Tuesday (yesterday) afternoon! Her ex-boyfriend just stopped by to help her with a heavy package from the mailroom and left without much emotion about the breakup :-( God’s timing is perfect…we cried together and talked (I listened), she did some studying (and told me she got the highest score so far on a test :-) God is trying to tell you He is with you I told her! I heated up some comfort food for her: tomatoes and eggs on rice (same as mine), we watched one episode of Extraordinary Attorney Woo on Netflix and she went to bed at 9:30pm. She got up this morning at 5:45am, I made her soup for breakfast. I sent her my prayer for her in Zephaniah 3:17, “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty One Who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you by His love; He will exult over you with loud singing!” Amen! Jessi is still very sad and cries at the drop of a head. She has no appetite and doesn’t really want any solid food. But I know she will be ok with time to heal and Jesus to carry her! Thank y’all for praying for her! May her relationship with Jesus becomes so tight and intimate that nothing and no one can and will separate her from the love of God! Amen! May I be the servant to her during such time as this for the next two weeks, Amen!
Amen.
Amen God bless you all.
AMEN!
“Mary is blessed because she is God’s servant!” Amen, Fr. James! Servants are… *** To be faithful in 1 Corinthians 4:1-2, “This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.” *** To be last in Mark 9:35, “Jesus sat down and called for the 12 disciples to come to him. Then he said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last. They must be the servant of everyone.” *** To be obedience in Ephesian 2:10, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” ******* Here is an example of the ultimate Servant of all in Philippians 2:5-8, “As you deal with one another, you should think and act as Jesus did. In His very nature He was God. Jesus was equal with God. But Jesus didn’t take advantage of that fact. Instead, He made Himself nothing. He did this by taking on the nature of a servant. He was made just like human beings. He appeared as a man. He was humble and obeyed God completely. He did this even though it led to His death. Even worse, He died on a cross! *** 2 Timothy 2:15, “Do your best to please God. Be a worker who doesn’t need to be ashamed. Teach the message of truth correctly.” Praise You Lord, Jesus Christ!
Amen.
