The Resurrection of the Lord
The Seeds of Hope
Let us then feast with joy in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 5:8 (Alleluia verse)

There are a lot of ugly things going on in this world. I would like to think that the world is slowly becoming a better place, but I am not so sure. I would like to think that human effort could transform this world into the family of love that it should be, but there are too many examples to the contrary. Despair knocks at the door.

More than ever, the importance of this day is before us. Without the saving act of Jesus, we would be without hope. The resurrection alone is the assurance of the triumph of love over all that is dark and evil.

Today and each day forward, we can hold up our heads. The seeds of hope are planted. What we could not do, God has done for us. On this Easter morn, we rest in God and give thanks.

- Msgr. Stephen Rossetti

Acts 10:34a, 37-43 • Psalm 118:1-2, 16-17, 22-23 • Colossians 3:1-4 or 1 Corinthians 5:6b-8 • John 20:1-9 or Mark 16:1-7

Amen and Alleluia Greetings! Believe and Celebrate! What a glorious day this is! A special memory I cherish is an Easter Sunday in Moscow, Russia. Many Africans were parishioners...diplomatic staff and family, and students at Friendship University. You’ve never heard the Gloria until sung to the accompaniment of African drums and their special brand of praise! But at the end of Mass our singing wasn’t enough for the Ambassador of Sierra Leone. She didn’t feel the joy that should be in our voices, after all, Christ had Risen!! She jumped to her feet, threw her arms over her head and lead us all in song, dance and glory to Christ...and we ALL felt it! Yes! HE HAD RISEN in us! God Bless us all, and all who we love! Amen and Alleluia! Happy Easter Living Faith Family!

Pam, thank you for sharing your special memory. It is beautiful and heartwarming.

Pam thanks for sharing your memories. You are special. Mass was different this morning the crowd was younger, children dressed up. Response to the hymn was "this is the day..." who knew. Want to share this I read " Risen Lord help us to recognize you when you come into our lives hidden in the people we meet along life's way. Give us the eyes to see. Give us the hearts to sing Alleluia not just today but every day " Praying for you guys right now Ken

Happy Easter to our Living Faith Family. He is risen our faith has conquered death. Today we celebrate, we rejoice , as we did at our Saviors birth we do as well today. Today is our rebirth with our relationship with Christ. Our chance to go out in the world and proclaim his resurrection from the dead, to give us the chance of eternal life. The burial cloths were folded nicely to say, thank you for there use, but I will be back to use them again. This was a tradition to fold up clothes to be used again, but if he were still dead and not risen then, there would not be any cloths to fold. Jesus will be back, he will be back for us at the last day to judge the living and the dead. Today let us rise and give thanks, rejoice for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has risen from the dead. Alleluia, rejoice he has in fact Risen for us. Amen. Dear Jesus please hear our prayers for our Living Faith Family, for those who have no one to pray for them and for all of the souls in Purgatory, we pray. Amen
