St. Pius of Pietrelcina
Writing into the Light
For there is nothing hidden that will not become visible, and nothing secret that will not be known and come to light.
Luke 8:17
It was strange. Twice within the space of a few days, two writers that I know, but who don't know each other, said to me something like, "Yes, this is what I'm working on now, but let me tell you about what I really want to write." So why weren't they putting their energies into the ideas that excited them? Different reasons: It wouldn't be what people were used to seeing from them, and might even anger regular readers. It was out of their own natural, easy comfort zone. They couldn't financially afford to set the tried-and-true aside. I encouraged them both, and my own conscience was jostled. I couldn't stop thinking--what truths am I passionate about that I am being called to bring into the light--and what's holding me back?
Jesus, give me courage to speak the truth you've given me.

Ken, so many of us are sharing this pain with you—a pain of the heart. May God deliver our combined energy to give you strength and courage. And may Kathy be comforted in her transition. The LF family is united in our prayers for each other and that can only bring a goodness to each of us that we could not have on our own. The Spirit be with each of us this day in the way in which we need It. May the breath of Christ be upon you.

Ken, I am praying for you your best friend Kathy, your entire family. May God’s comforting arms wrap around you like a good warm blanket on a chilling winters day.

Living by the light. Be examples to others to come to the light and live in darkness no more.

Everything can be seen in the light vs. the dark.

Ken, I pray that you too can let go and let God. We did with my Father-In-Law years ago when he had 2 heart attacks and it looked very grim. God's response was beyond our wildest dream. May Jesus carry you! Amen.
