Let us remember those children who have died and those thousands of
children suffering in this immigration crackdown. They are the Innocents
of this generation.

Savior
The readings before, during and after Christmas continue to point
out to me, my need for a Savior!
Actually, everything in the Scripture point to my sins and my need for a
Savior...
* Romans 3:10, "as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one;"
* Psalm 14:3, "They have all turned aside; together they have become
corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one."
* Psalm 53:3, "They have all fallen away; together they have become
corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one."
In today's reading, these are the if statements:
* If we say, “We have fellowship with Him,” while we continue to walk in
darkness, we lie and do not act in truth.
* If we walk in the light as He is in the light, then we have fellowship
with one another, and the Blood of His Son Jesus cleanses us from all
sin.
* If we say, “We are without sin,” we deceive ourselves, and the truth is
not in us.
* If we acknowledge our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive
our sins and cleanse us from every wrongdoing.
* If we say, “We have not sinned,” we make Him a liar, and His Word is
not in us.
* If anyone does sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ
the righteous one.
* Here is the Good News: He (Jesus) is expiation (atonement) for our
sins, and not for our sins only but for those of the whole world.
The bottom line for me is I am a sinner and Jesus is the only Savior for
me!!!
* Isaiah 64:6a, "All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all
our righteous acts are like filthy rags;"
* Ephesians 2:1-3, "As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and
sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world
and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work
in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one
time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and
thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath."
* 2 Corinthians 5:21, "For our sake He made Him (Jesus - the One and only
sinless) to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the
righteousness of God."
Not because of who I am
But because of what you've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of Who You are
Lord Jesus, I praise You! Amen!

Thank you for your reflection this morning Amy.
After reflecting, we have just gone through many weeks of preparation for
his coming and Christmas Day not the season has come and gone. What is so
wonderful his coming for us, is everlasting.
Dear Lord Jesus hear my prayers, and remind me that our relationship is
just that a long lasting event.
Amen
Amen.
Amen.
