Msgr. ...... that reflection hit me hard & made alot of sense. Thank
you & God bless you.
Most of all, Thanks be to God !
AMEN!
Thank you, Monsignor, for words that will sustain and a message I
needed to hear again.
I often think of why God doesn't answer our prayers. This is a
simple way of looking at it. I have three children. When they were young,
they would often ask me for candy. I sometimes said no, knowing that it
would spoil their dinner. They would get upset. I think of my prayers
that way. I ask for what I want, but God knows the big picture. In the
long run, I have to place my trust in God and believe that He will take
care of me.
Great analogy!
love it love it !!!! thank you
Jesus may not give us what we want, but He always gives us what we
need......God Himself, the Holy Spirit! What more do I ask for, the Holy
Spirit is all I need :-)
Holy Spirit, You are my Comforter, my Counselor, my Advocate, my Seal of
guarantee and promise, my Guide, my Revealer, my Intercessor, my Teacher,
my Witness, my All in All! You are the Author of Scripture, the Spirit of
Truth, the Spirit of God, the Convicter of sin, and the Spirit of Life!
Come dwell in my temple of filthy rag, clean out the house, redecorate
the rooms especially the heart room, crucify my sinful nature, and make
Yourself at home! Amen!
Salina thank you for a great prayer!
Amen!
Beautiful! Salina. Brief and down to the point. I love it.
Amen. :)
Amen. Thank you Holy Father for this day and for today's Gospel.
Thank you Lord for my faith, my life and for my family. Thank you Holy
Father most of all for your great sacrifice and for the opportunity of
forgiveness and reconciliation. Please Lord have mercy. Praise to you
Lord Jesus Christ now and forever. Amen
Yesterday I took a church friend to her chemotherapy. I had never
been to an oncology clinic before and I will tell you that it was very
emotional and humbling for me. The lobby was packed, as well as each of
the treatment wings. There were small children, and adults of all ages,
including the very old. Everyone was hooked up to machines to receive
"life". I left sobbing, yet very thankful that my life is so good.
When we struggle with others' suffering, we are awakened to the beauty of
our own blessings. My friend is always upbeat and never lets her cancer
get her down. She is a wonderful model of pure faith!
Lord, comfort all those who are suffering with these debilitating
diseases, and help us to always be thankful for the blessings you give
us!
Amen!
I had a friend who had since gone on with the Lord, she looked at
chemotherapy as her planting ground for the Gospel because the soil
is futile!
Linda, you remind me of Romans 12:5, "Rejoice with those who rejoice,
weep with those who weep."

We pray for blessings
We pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering
All the while, You hear each spoken need
Yet love is way too much to give us lesser things
'Cause what if your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You're
near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise
We pray for wisdom
Your voice to hear
We cry in anger when we cannot feel You near
We doubt your goodness, we doubt your love
As if every promise from Your Word is not enough
All the while, You hear each desperate plea
And long that we'd have faith to believe
When friends betray us
When darkness seems to win
We know that pain reminds this heart
That this is not our home
What if my greatest disappointments
Or the aching of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can't satisfy
What if trials of this life
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
Are your mercies in disguise
