'Mystery and Eternal Possibility'

The Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Jesus looked at them and said, "For men this is impossible, but for God all things are possible."

- Matthew 19:26

Dreams are odd things: comforting, frightening, puzzling, revealing. Just as odd to me as their content is the way in which dreams reside within my memory. More often than I can say, I am stopped short mid-morning by a vivid and complete recollection of a dream I had forgotten until that moment.

I have no idea why this happens, but every time, it serves as a reminder to me of how little I understand about life and even about myself. I'm reminded how foolish it is to rely solely on my own understanding or experience of anything in any given moment.

There is more, much more, than meets the eye. There are layers, heights and depths. That truth could be frightening, but it's not because none of it is an accident. It's because the Lord creates and sustains in mystery, yes, but also with love and eternal possibility.

Creator God, sustain me through the mystery of life today.

Dreams are just one more way that our Lord reveals Himself to us. They are mysterious, comforting, and informational. Just look at the Old Testament!

Our Lord comes to us in so many ways. Praise God!
